Will prices go way up for the Opal styles in a few months post event?

This was my first event. I figured I should hold onto these because I don’t know if they will still be obtainable once the undaunted event ends. Or should I sell?

My guess, one should've sold them in first day or two for half the 'normal' (overcharged, for real) price so resellers would quickly buy them. Because now market is so inflated, that prices may very well be low for many month now. And then prices won't be very high since almost everyone bought what they needed. At least that's what I saw repeatedly with all the gold motif pages.

Lately, many of the event pages have been farmed heavily enough that the prices haven't really had much of a bounce in the few months after the event because the supply in most cases exceeds the demand.

The opal pages dropping atm may take a while to go up a lot in price.

I expect the four styles that aren't dropping this time will maybe increase in price faster, so that's Iceheart, Lord Warden, Nightflame and Swarm Mother.

Undaunted is once per year, if they keep it at that and do the same next year as this, then those four styles I listed above will drop again and Ilambris, Engine Guardian, Troll King and Bloodspawn will not.

Edit:- You can also potentially farm the Opal Masks a lot easier than the weapons, so it has been my experience the weapons tend to end up a bit more expensive.

They only be obtainable once the event ends thru the market.

Interesting - one of the Opal Greatsword pages, one of the 4 types not dropping this event, is listed for 5 M on PC NA. So when the 4 from this event aren't dropping the next time, it's possible they'll be worth more at that time.

I feel like the market is oversaturated atm and it will take more than a few months for the prices to rise.
But you can always drop some pages in a random alt's backpack and forgot about them for a year or 2. Maybe styles from the current even won't come back next year and the price will increase. Just like with Sovngarde style, Opal Engine Guardian (before it was reintroduced) etc.

I'm dumping all mine in a 60 space storage and will promptly forget about them.

Probably depends on if the next event includes all the ones available this year or not.

I found a bunch of Engine Guardian stuff on an alt a few months back and sold it all off for quite a bit of gold.

I'll learn anything I didn't already know from this event, then stick whatever extras I have on an alt, but not going to bother buying up stuff unless I stumble across one ridiculously underpriced when scanning a store.

Not likely, since they should be obtainable again next year , should have sold day 1 because I was banking 1-2 mill per item the first couple days, now stock is so inflated it will last well into next year lol.

The price for event pages will always be at their highest typically 6mo after the event, meaning halfway between this and next event.

They will never be as high as their last highest price at the last 6mo mark. So yes it is more profitable to sell after the event, but the newer pages will always be the ones making the good money, where older pages like iiambris will only be 5-10k higher at the 6mo mark.

Sit on a few and look at prices listed the day before next years event. Drop down to about half that and list so they are in traders the day the event starts. The ones I listed day one of this event sold really quick for a little over six million each.

Other motifs don't increase much in price because there is multiple events that drop them through the year.

I agree with several of the others in that if you wait a few or six months you should do really well. The engine guardian stuff seems to do really well. I never waited long enough, but right before the event I had a friend that was still selling those pages for millions in traders.

Depends those that are willing to pay high prices will likely already have the pages before the event ends.

Your only real market is those that have missed the event or returned to the game after a break or held out for the prices to hit rock bottom only to miss a few pages that didn't drop enough to flood the market.

But it also depends how long the extra pages on the market take to sell and you will have competition with people waiting to sell their pages as well.

If you have a lot of pages and are going to wait your best bet would be to dump them in storage and wait 6 months to a year to try and offload them, if you wait too long eg the next undaunted event they could be dropping again but no guarantee of that happening.

My normal routine with events\rewards like this is learn them all on my main (GM crafter) and when I start to get duplicates just bank them.
If I were you I wouldn't expect to list any you save for several months or more, like maybe closer to the holidays or Spring 2023.
From what I've seen the traders will become glutted with them at several thousands listed. And that's just on PC\NA and viewed on TCC. So actual numbers listed are prolly MUCH higher.

So unless you are ok with listing yours at 50% of the average asking price I'd wait.
