New DoT rules and Valkyn Skoria Set: Buff needed?

Shouldn't Valkyn Skoria get a buff now that every target DoT ticks every 2 seconds? Tested it with some target DoT such as Soul Trap and Destructive Touch and it barely procs.

Does this set still sometimes make the sound but produce no meteors? Haven't worn it in awhile because it was too buggy.

It could probably use a modest increase in its proc % to account for the reduced frequency of ticks.

Might as well go ahead and update Azureblight Reaper at the same time. Good luck getting to 20 stacks in 5 seconds when so many dots tick at 2 second intervals now.

It needed a buff when they made proc dots not proc it anymore( which was good btw).
So yeah defo could use a bump.
Maybe a guaranteed even after a certain number of dot ticks

I was thinking of this too. The chance to activate was already pretty low before the reduction in DoT tick frequency.

There were no changes to sticky dot ticks this patch, sticky dots were already ticking every two seconds for quite some time.

I’ve only just started running it, Nightblade DPs here.
Throwing down caltrops, path and unstable.
Haven’t really noticed the procs, honestly.
I am finding it more reliable than stormfist though.

To be fair Valkyn is more of a DK Monster Helm. Not only does it fit the whole fire theme, but it works best with the king of Dots.

Indeed. Both could use an update.

BTW Azurblight still procs from Flurry.

And valkyn was laughable b4 now it’s useless nenrith more reliable u need reliability in pvp

I was coming here to post something similar about Draughrkin's Grip.

With tick rates down, sets that have a per-tick aspect should be reevaluated.

Skoria gets run for the pen line, not the proc

If you want the proc damage, Nerien'eth far outperforms it for whatever reason

Proc sets on monster helms that are not DoT-based but still deal AoE damage (Stormfist, e.g.) don't seem to be affected either
