We have an event going on. I dont usually bother with dungeons, but its an event, so why not?
I random dungeon... we pop in... I'm not worried about waiting through all the talking, just stop at the first one to get the quest real quick.
The group takes off, engages a couple mobs initially, then I bumped into one of the idiot indestructible/immovable 6 inch high " walls " this game has, and it takes a second or two to get around it....
And now there are about 50 - 60 mobs in front of me... blocking the path I have to go .... with no team in sight. I'm trying to to chase them down, but they are Gone, and I just keep running into more and more mobs..... now Im dead.... but the battle isnt over so I can't even use a soul gem.
The Super speed they have put into this game makes dungeons completely pointless. When I heard people complain about others speeding thru dungeons, I thought they were talking about not waiting for the various NPC conversations. I was wrong. There is No " Playing " the game here. If you can jack your speed up so high that the NPCs cant catch you, its not a dungeon. It's just pointless. Reminded me of visiting a D&D group where they rolled their d20 multiple attacks all at the same time - and After they saw the results, they matched the dice up with the specific attacks. Amazingly every attack usually hit. It was just One round - kill the monster - Divide the treasure. Completely pointless game.
They need to reduce the character's speed so they can not simply run away (except for the mage who has a specific Flee spell). These are Dungeons. The whole point of the Dungeon is to defeat the enemies, not sprint past everyone and only let two players complete it.
Whats the point of even putting the mobs IN to the dungeons if you are going to give the characters the capability to completely ignore them. Or at the very least, since it is an enclosed instance, remove the ' distance factor', where the mob only moves a certain distance and then runs back to its starting point. Have all the mobs pursue the entire length and width of the dungeon.
Make the players DO the job of clearing the Dungeon.
