with all due respect this is UNACCAPTABLE @ZOS_GinaBruno. How do you define "abusive one-off situations"? I thought ZOS is strict on exploit/abuse situations. So if there is a similar glitch in the future we are all OK for non-abusive exploit? Please check all logs manually for the glitch, this will be difficult but the devs should be responsible. It is unfair and lowers the trust.

So you want them to ban all the players that logged in during the time those bugs occured?
Because it wasn't even possible to play the game and not "exploit a bug" at that time. And you could only notice that something is wrong after it already happened, or for most cases even not realise it.
The way Gina described it to be handled is the best way possible IMHO.
No body says ban the logged in players during that period (yes it was posible to play game and change zones). They should check the database logs, and hand pick the people who abused the exploit and yes ban them! You can accidentally do one or two or may be 10, but after that, you know what you are doing, am I right?
Ha-ha, true, I myself got 3 exp scrolls and I saw people got 49 (!!!) with this abuse today after all fixes implemented, omg, also this is the most powerful scroll with 150% and long duration, just imagine... Oh, there's no need to imagine, this is real!

Why bother with xp scrolls? You get literally showered with them. I have more xp rolls in my bank than toons to use them with.
That is probably the dumbest exploit you can use

That is why I was asking about the addon that automatically collects the daily rewards. I use that addon, but this is a good week for Cyberpunk, so I wasn't paying any attention at all to what ZOS was doing. Just wondering whether I dodged a bullet with my name on it...

And zos still don't make any offical annoument about what they do after a week.

Abusive one-off situation= a player redoing the exploit multiple/dozens/hundreds of times after it is clear there is an issue.
I've found a couple of glitches over the years since the game was released. Realized what happened was a glitch; tried the same thing again to make sure it really happened. Did the same thing one more time, taking notes while going through it so I had information for the bug/exploit report, including the fact I did the exploit three times for report purposes. It didn't make any difference if I lost the "profits" from those situations. Compare that to those who found the bank duplicate glitch and duped thousands of gold pieces and mats/tempers. And the people who found the survey glitch and abused the Oblivion out of it. Getting "profits" from accidentally finding an exploit/glitch is much different from the abusive one-off situations, and the devs can quickly tell them apart.

I was only away from my computer for a little over an hour, and when I had to step away the servers hadn't even been brought back up yet, and when I returned they had already been taken down again.
And I saw multiple people complaining about thousands of mats gained in that short span of time that they lost when the servers came back up later.
Huh.

1000s of mats is quite feasible to get in an hour when you're doing surveys. Surveys can give anywhere from 120-240 for each one. Surveys take maybe a minute to do including travel time. And especially when you have multiple of the same survey it takes no time. I know people that literally have multiple stacks of the same exact survey.
5.2 In relation to online/competitive games, you will not exploit any bug, or abuse any game system (such as the scoring or award systems) in a ZeniMax game, Service, forum, or other games or services provided by ZeniMax. You will not intentionally use or share any bug found within any ZeniMax Game, real or fictitious, regardless of whether or not it grants an unfair advantage. You will not directly or indirectly communicate the existence of any such bug to any other user of the ZeniMax Service (in game or on a ZeniMax Service). Report bugs and exploits using the in-game portal or via help.elderscrollsonline.com. Unacceptable behaviors will also include any conduct that is considered by ZeniMax to be cheating (e.g. match fixing and collusion) or other unsportsmanlike conduct such as use of secondary accounts, intentionally losing and bribery.
This needs to be investigated. TESO customer service always punishes the wrong people. Exploiting is okay but speaking about it results in repercussions. I am sick of it.
And he is one "elite" player...

I hope someone at ZOS pays attention to that and fixes the core issues related to it. Your players should never be paranoid of getting bans!

The only time I ever seen some stuff get overturned, is when there were getting a false flags from a PVP add on in Cyrodiil. They made a apology post, didn't identy the add on, or contact any add on developers. About a month later it started happening again and they tried to brush it under the rug.
