I’m playing with different things on my Templar and can’t find anything that feels as strong, or even close to, as last patch. It’s a bummer because I love templars, but might be shelved for now…

This plays like a more traditional stamplar, and is currently what I run this patch. Hit people for consistent 10k+ purifying lights, the highest so far has hit for 18k tho

Armor weight on belt should be light, and medium on pants. You'll gain a lot of armor this way.
The heavy chest should be reinforced, not divines (you'll get an extra 660 armor or 1 percent mitigation by doing this one change).

A lot of armor and “1% mitigation” really aren’t the same thing lol. It isn’t worth another 50k worth of mats to gold out and slap a triglyph on a new piece of gear when in reality very little changes

660 armor isn’t not 1% mitigation, though it is different. Personally, when I’m playing competitively in PvP (or PvE for that matter), the gold pieces vs. purple pieces are different. I’ve been 1v1 and was one hour away from being the winner, or 2v1 and a crit is what took me down, or 500hp extra per heal x3 HoTs over a 15 second fight, can make the difference.
Again, strictly competitively speaking.

A lot of armor was referring to changing light pants to medium. I didn't have the exact amount for this off the top of my head. The answer is 1221 to 1823, or 602 more armor.
That combined with reinforced on the heavy chest, another 660, is roughly 2 percent more mitigation.
Not inconsequential.
There is a reason min maxers use reinforced on the chest, and light on belt.
I understand you wanting to cut costs, but this isn't "very little changes" if you are playing against skilled opponents who know how to optimize a build.
Edit, replied to wrong post. Should have been the post above.

P.S. so... If I were to swap my trainee helm and epaulets for say domihaus and swarm mother... Is there a mythic you would recommend I use instead?
