If you move mouse to the sides to fast, it goes out of game window for a split second, goes into cursor mode and re-centers, after which you go back to camera control mode. If you happened to attempt to LA while mouse is off screen, many things can go very wrong.
I.e. I was able to focus on browser while being in normal third person camera mode in game.
The laggier it gets (cyrodiil, trials), the easier it is to do.
