Constant crashes after U35

I've had fewer crashes in the last 4 years of playing than in the last week. Game crashes 20 times a day

I disabled all addons. I don't know what to do anymore

I never had the desire to delete this game, even after the U35 combat changes, but I can't stand these crashes and already want to delete the game and unsubscribe

I don't know how to get rid of them

I've never had a crash problem before this week

So did I, repairs and disabling add-ons did nothing.
I had to lower a bit on the graphics. Two days now without crashing now. I changed 3 things so still testing to see if I can find the sweet spot.

I was running everything at maximum. I lowered view distance to 90, kicked AA down one setting and one of the texture settings from ultra to high.

Thanks for the advice, I'll try to play with the graphics settings. But I already play on medium-high, despite the fact that I have a fairly good computer

    i-7 11700 2.5 GHz
    SSD 500 Gb (teso here)
    Ge Force GTX 1650 Super

But I don't think that crash issue is on my side. 4 years everything was fine and after one update the nightmare began. ZOS have broken something

Crashes have increased again, but this is par for the course after updates/patches I'm afraid.

It usually settles down after a few weeks as the back end is worked on behind the scenes to eliminate the most common culprits.

Good luck, doesn't hurt to play with some settings and try out. I also don't think the problem was/is on my side since everything was running smooth on the same settings until U35.
There's a good chance they will fix it after a few Monday patches. Hopefully you find a temp fix so you can play.

What type of crash is it? ...bluescreen, computer lock up, straight to desktop, logout to login screen, etc?

Some suggestions: Try disabling AA completely. And if you ever manually changed something in the settings file, change it back or remove the settings file completely, to let the game remake it. Might also want to try disabling the new multithreaded rendering setting. Only try one of these settings at once, so you can pinpoint the problem more precisely if it works.
Also keep an eye on your CPU and GPU temperatures.
If you use GeForce experience, disable it and try if that solves it.

Haven't had any crashes myself. Goodluck trying to solve the issue.

Our help article below has troubleshooting to assist with ESO crashing.

What do I do if ESO is crashing with the error "ESO has stopped working"?

    still a problem for me.

if anything, it's gotten much worse; i've crashed out 20x just this morning running through dailies on two players.

have tried the troubleshooting except lowering graphics (all maxed), i'll see if that helps.

i made some adjustments to the graphics settings, but the game is still pretty iffy.

crashes when i'm looking at menus or just standing, doing nothing sometimes.

Thank you for providing this system information.

Another thing to try is lowering both the User DPI and System DPI settings. Currently you have both set to 150% which should be lowered to 100%.

    i'll do that, then.

fwiw, when i changed it to 100 percent, i was looking at other settings, just idling and i got a hard crash with the 'your device has run into a problem and needs to restart' 'gathering information' yadda yadda.

so maybe that's not the prob?

haven't had that crash b4, it usually just goes to desktop or spits out the 'eso has stopped working/what were you doing' window.

    curiouser and curiouser

Thank you for the update. If this change doesn't help, the next step to try is a selective startup to disable background processes. Disabling background processes can be done by rebooting the PC into a selective startup. This will disable third party software running on the PC. Test your setup under the selective startup and see if the issue persists.

no probs w/background processes, checked that a while ago.

i turned off anti aliasing and am running the game at dpi 100 percent and it seems more stable, but then it'll get into crash mode again with no real pattern as to what causes it. i.e. my char can be standing still, opening a menu or a door, looking at inventory, in the middle of a boss battle full of fx, or talking to an npc - whatever - and the game crashes.

    still mystified. :/

it's even worse today, can't get the game to stay up for more than a minute or two, usually crashes out before it even loads.

i'd rolled back video drivers by about a month before the patch and the game was running better (still crashed occasionally).

    now it's unplayable. :/

This is just ridiculous, game is crashing constantly on NA.Can’t even log to a character. Have had no and I repeat no issues on the EU.
Same computer same game same settings so WHY is the NA server so much a problem…..
Please fix, I have been with you since Beta, so damn frustrating, please fix the NA server!
