Gifting ESO+ ?

I'm wondering if there's a way to gift ESO+ for a period of time.

Sadly, I know several people who have cancelled their subs because they're not willing to pay to play with the state of PVP (other things too, but PVP is the key problem). Money is tight. But as we all know, not having ESO+ makes inventory management a real pain in the breaches, so we end up in a vicious cycle of them simply not playing as much as they used to.

I was considering buying a period of membership to help get around the issue and keep a friend or two in the game until - hopefully - someone at ZoS actually invests some time and effort into PVP content.

So.... anyone know? @ZOS_Kevin is this possible? I can't see a way of doing it, but this stuff isn't always intuitive so figured if anyone knew, it would be you lot !! ;)

Cheers.

As fiz said, ESO+ is tied to buying it through your platform's Store feature. I am not sure what that would be for PC and I assume XBox has a store setup similar to PlayStation. When a friend's brother started playing the game (ironically, about a week after the ESO+ free trial), I bought him a month of ESO+ as a taste by checking in the Store how much a month would cost, then going to a site like GameStop's website and purchasing a digital-version PS Store gift card in an amount that would closest cover it, then texted him the gift card code that the site emailed me. Then they just enter the code into the store and it adds the funds to the wallet and the person can then purchase whatever they want up to that amount.

It might be seen as a way to circumvent international laws on currency conversion rates which is also why you can't gift Crowns, but allows users to gift items bought with crowns.

On xbox you can gift crowns. There's a buy it for yourself or buy as a gift option. I've gifted 3k crowns to someone before. Subs you can't as it's a rolling monthly cost until you switch it off, so it needs an active credit card to do the initial purchase.

for PC if the user is through steam, then they could be given steam gift cards and sign up for the membership through steam

the only way to do it for any other way on PC would be like one of those prepaid visa gift cards that could be used for anything, but i dont know if that would work for the subscription

I'm sure ZOS has nothing against gifting subs to other people, but they're probably not going to give support if someone asks for a gold for sub transaction and gets scammed

You could send them money in paypal, and they can use that to pay for plus, iirc.Otherwise as of now, you'd have to have access to others accounts,and/or payment info.

That would be against ToS, which forbids exchanging a real-world item (meaning bought with real world currency, like a sub or a chapter code) for an in-game item (like gold), so no, I don’t see them supporting a violation like that in any way.

how exactly is that different from trading gold for a crown item that is gifted? the crown item was still bought with real world money lol

Check their own definiton. They consider crown items ingame items so they can be traded for gold.
