Enchanter Surveys are bad, delete yours today or prove me wrong.

in the past 30+ I've done all I got is 1 kuta and they don't even drop mundane runes. I've deleted all of the remaining ones I have as they are a waste of time and space and you lose money by running them (you could just harvest a random corn flower or columbine to get greater than the value of a 6 protean rune nodes). I'm better off farming normal rune nodes

i urge others to delete their enchanter surveys as well unless you're a new player who doesn't have basic runes in abundance.

Still, the effort in doing these is not outweighed by the gains. The fact that mundane runes don't drop is also a huge deterrent from actually doing these, as you make more off mundanes in a few enchanting nodes than you would from getting a kuta in one out of every four surveys as Kuta are cheap.

If there was a chance of an indeko or hakeijo, or mundanes were added to the loot table, then I wouldn't be advocating for people to delete their enchanting surveys. But as it stands now, you are better off farming normal enchanting nodes than you are doing these surveys.

I do some, skip others, and while my RNG isn't as bad, it isn't like these are the best surveys either.

The few that are located right off wayshrines I do when I have a few stacked up for the same spot.

The ones in god-awful annoying places that require lots of travel or swimming get deleted.

I reached a point where I'm only doing Alchemy, Clothing, and Jewelry surveys. Those are the only materials I feel like I'm lacking from just playing the game and doing the usual deconstruction.

I enjoy doing surveys as a way to just travel round and explore. It would be stupid to delete them.

And that's what I feel the other surveys are for! As I had these in abundance, so too do I have the others in abundance. When the chest fills up, I find a common zone among my surveys and go to complete them, but these ones in particular are bad. Woodworking ones are pretty bad due to the cost of ruby ash right now, as are blacksmithing ones, but I still do them.

Enchanting surveys have entered a whole new tier of their own, they are trash tier. You are spending your time to get junk runes.

Wont delete, but they are certainly of the lowest priority. At one point, I had over 100 Wrothgar enchanter surveys. Finally did them all last summer. I still have close to 2k total surveys of all types that are sitting in my bank. Last summer I knocked out all the DLC zones, but the base game zones are still there and the DLC zones are piling up again. Never know when you might need them.

If Antiquities have taught us anything, hold on to your surveys. Got one of the Oakensoul leads in about 30 seconds doing blacksmithing surveys in Glenumbra.

I don't know if the chance of a new lead coming out is enough of an incentive to take up precious inventory space, but you clearly have inventory space to spare and hedge on additions requiring these. For me, it's still a pass, but I'm glad we both agree that these are lowest priority (to you this means put them aside, to me it means delete them)

I only did mine when I had the ESO+ trial but the rest of the time they clog up my bank or inventory. Very brave to delete them though. What if the others were the lucky surveys? You might have been rich now.

I don't know what you classify as rich but I'm a node harvester and nearly a master crafter who also does PVP. I have loads of transmutes and nirncrux, potent and fortified, as well as enough mats to gold several sets of gear. When I last looked at my mundane rune collection I think I had more than 1 or 2 mil gold in value. I also run treasure chests when bored and sell some more obscure items for high profit at guild traders, I have about 100 rewards for the worthy waiting to be opened as well all from PVP, and a bank full of items that need only be listed to get profits ranging from tens of thousands into the millions.

The only luck I've had is realizing that these are trash surveys and deleting them. Unless ZOS decides to buff them, these will forever remain trash surveys. What they should do is add a psijic portal spawning on chance of harvesting a protean rune, or change the loot tables entirely.

Take it from me dude, unless you're new to the game and don't have many of the essence or aspect runes and refuse to buy them at guild traders (potency runes you can just buy at npc vendors so I won't waste time talking about them beyond this), you're better off deleting them or running normal rune nodes. You have a higher chance of Kuta at them and the chance of mundane runes, and they may even respawn as psijic portals that give you a small chance for hakeijo as well as zone loot items.

The only thing I might have regretted is deleting the craglorn enchanting surveys as it seems nirncrux is spawning off of more things now (I saw some post that swears columbine drops nirncrux now, so maybe runes do as well)

Because not everyone only cares about those two rune drops?

(and yeah, why would I ever buy runes - or anything else - from guild traders?)

I won't buy a chapter for a bot companion or a card game. I will buy a chapter for a survey bot, even at reduced return rates for the surveys. Maybe a new merchant who exchanges them for you, taxing you for saving you irl time.

It's a whole bunch of crafting materials in a small place. I typically don't have the time to run around the country side looking for materials so they're what I use for crafting materials almost exclusively. Saves time, and I rarely use my Kutas anyway so I got quite a big stockpile growing.

Yeah, a moderate percent of my bank storage is devoted to stacks of surveys. Easy to dump them on an alt if I need to do some inventory shuffling, but they certainly take up more space than I would like. At my max, I was at about 3k surveys. I got through about half last summer (basically all the DLC zones), but they have been piling up again since. I do have max inventory, bank, 18 toons, and all storage boxes, so really dont have that much of a storage crunch these days. Stickerbook helped a LOT in that department, and I really cant play without the craft bag.

If you told me I had to delete one type of survery, it would certainly be Enchanting. They should buff to include better drops, more Kuta, and throw Hakeijo and some others in their as well. That said, I simply dont need more Kuta. I have about 1500 of them and at most a brand new meta build takes 14 of them. I probably wont make a hundred more complete builds during my time in tamriel.

I collect all my surveys on one character, so not taking up bank space. I collect surveys when I get a stack of 10 in one location, except for enchanting now. I have some sizable stacks of them. If I run low on Oko (which are needed to do the writs, double any other essence rune) I'll go collect a big stack of them.
