Why doesn't the game allow selling items from your bank in guild stores?

Wow, is the game's selling badly done IMO.

Back during the first year there was a duplication glitch related to doing just this thing.

So, no selling from bank now.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I prefer it that way to be honest, when I put stuff in my bank its stuff I don't want to sell by mistake so I am glad the guild trader only lets you list stuff from your inventory.

Would like to be able to withdraw larger quantities of stuff from the craft bag at once though instead of one stack at a time.

You know you can bind set pieces and lock any items that u dont want to sell destroy or deconstruct

After that post, I just found another reason to hate the design. I put up over 30 guild store sales for the first time in years, of old motifs I hoarded.

The interface said nothing about stacks of multiple items and implied it was a price per item. So I put the prices in. Within about an hour ever stack of multiple items had sold because it puts the price for the stack not per item.

You can sell directly from crafting bags, what is one more reason making them valuable. I suppose that selling from bank will not come back, because it supports the crafting bags concept: one more reason pushing players to ESO+.

Sure but people have other sellable stuff in their bank besides set pieces that can't be locked.

You can't sell directly from the crafting bag. You have to remove the items from the crafting bag and place them into your pack to list them on a guild trader.

That's an addon, probably Awesome Guild Store, not an in-game feature.

i guess i have an add-on....it lets me choose directly from: my bag inventory, craft bag or the bank inventory. has three little icons i just click on to pick the source. i use Master Merchant and TTC and i think Awesome Guild Store. one of them must have the option.

The only addon I use for trading is ATT. It doesn't have that option.

The trading mini-game is ESO sucks - so many useless time sinks and annoyances and restrictions built into the system.

It does work though - I make plenty of gold using it - so I'm not going to go on a 'the trader system is totally unusable' rant.

But the honest truth is the system is garbage by design, from the clunky UI to traders to selling limitations.

Some of that is probably driven by technical reasons and limitations, though some are clearly designed to keep players spending more time dealing with the system and creating a bit more rarity to items than really exists (even stated as such years back by the developers).

Anyways, if on PC (good luck on console), get and use add-ons - they won't solve all the issues, but they will make it a bit less of an annoyance to buy and sell.
