I think I may have the answer has to why people were struggling to log in over the past few days.
This issue always seems to happen just after midyear mayhem (Whitestrikes).
Why?
I think it is when they remove the extra campaigns.
People will have logged off in those campaigns.
If this is the case then the affected chars are in a limbo space; not actually in any zone/campaign.
The more people that try to log on that are in limbo will be backing up the logon.
This will affect those ingame as well that try to port to different zones/areas and others trying to login.
Does anybody else agree?
I am not a programmer nor do I have any knowledge on programming but this does make sense to me.

I don't pvp, so didn't access any of the spin-up-for-Mayhem campaigns, and I've had absolutely no login issues at all, even during the times people were posting about logins failing on PC EU - during that time the other day, I was logging in and out of 10-12 characters to upgrade riding and do crafting writs.______________________________________________________
