Stop putting generic armor in containers

If we've bought into the ESO scheme to get ESO+ and a crafting bag, we like to go to containers and quickly hit ee', open and loot. There are dozens of items it can be that go to the crafting bag.

We DON'T like saying 'oh crap, it just looted a piece of white armor' that fills our inventory, where we have to find it and destroy it, having to check each loot carefully in case it's crap armor.

If you're on PC you can get an addon called Personal Assistant in which you can set things to automatically delete the generic white armor, or any based on a variety of settings. Once I started using it I have found I don't need to worry about that clutter ever again.

Nah, put more generic armor in containers. I can just collect and sell it. It all adds up.

Eh, just sort for armor in the inventory display. The white one should be very obvious.

White generic armor that comes from containers has a zero gold value, so no gold from NPC vendors; not sure why a player would buy it? White gear that drops from mobs usually has a gold value and possibly Intricate trait for crafting Inspiration so that's can be okay. Other than the Intricate trait generic white isn't worth deconning just for the effort.

I do find the white generic gear with traits can be useful for traits training research if "really" needed but having someone make what you need for trait research is always available.

ZOS in their capacity as game developers decided to nerf these to 0 gain and very minimal crafting component gain after someone made a money making guide early release when you could steal from blacksmiths and disassemble for some meager profit. The amount of money this would make now is laughable, yet they kept the nerf.

I highly recommend the ragpicker assistant. Just deconstruct all the unneeded gear you pick up. Can never have to many mats👍

Finding these in containers is even less rewarding than finding lockpicks. Can't sell them, can't decon them for anything, won't ever equip them.

I start my day with almost empty bags so this isn't a problem for me. I just go to town at the end of the day and deconstruct all except what I can sell for a decent price.

I can never get enough lockpicks. I always force locks so I can burn through a stack of lockpicks in less than a week if I'm really going ham on dungeon runs.

But if you decon for example, only gear that is not even Tier 10 but 9 (shadowhide, nightwood, voidcloth) than you get nothing 95% of the time.
And there are tons of racks with those. To the point where one feels as if we're punished for taking something - and get worthless (literally) gear. Unless it is stolen of.

At least they put a value on them now. They used to be worthless.
They are good for deconstructing endeavours.

I use JunkBuster, I can tell it to delete using certain words etc, so during MYM or WSM what ever you want to call it, I set it to delete Rewards for the Worthy, so anytime I emptied my mail it would delete the containers but keep the boxes

I've even got it to delete most trash

I got gifted this but I'm not getting ESO+ so I delete all the trash just to be full of more trash mats ( that I have no use for ) so then I have to run to a bank to deposit

Huh. I thought it was only the weapons & armor that were placed visibly in the environment (on tables, in racks, etc) that had 0 value.

Which containers are you talking about?

Thanks but the addon I use effectively does the same thing. Also, I wasn't looking for any help, but again thank you.
