Upgraded Server Hardware ETA?

Hello.

As the title suggests, have we been provided an ETA on how soon server hardware will be upgraded for players who are not playing on PC NA?

Not as far as I'm aware. The last info was in a post a few weeks back, where it was stated "we're still sourcing hardware" IIRC.

It would be AWESOME to get new servers as the current ones don’t seem to be able to handle the game

I keep seeing people complain about the EU servers and say NA has brand new ones but console PVP is a dumpster fire in grey host

No kidding, I was looking forward to new hardware revitalizing the game in Cyrodiil.

I can't imagine we're getting a server upgrade any time soon. Tech shortage is still an issue. Although GPU prices have come down in general, and tech as a whole, the high end stuff is still silly expensive.

First Covid, then... That other thing. Then the high tensions surrounding the other thing. Then the oncoming financial issues the world is facing.

Yep, nope. Don't expect an upgrade or an ETA any time soon.

For what it's worth, there was news some time ago that the team was undertaking a Server Rearchitect-ing project where they basically rewrite a bunch of back-end code to make the game perform better. There was no specific date given, but they did say we wouldn't be likely to hear anything until the end of the year at best. PvP was at the forefront of the discussion, so I'm guessing that's where they're looking to make the most improvements.

It has been asked recently multiple times. Considering Zenimax's last statement on the matter, there is no reason to expect an answer until they are ready to start the work. In other words, the ETA is based on better equipment in and that is not easy with the current supply chain issues.

So no ETA

Wasn't console and UK servers next? I thought they only replaced the NA PC data servers. PvP and PvE did improve a lot for me on NA PC. The maintenance team should be getting close I would think for the next upgrade. Maybe after update 35 is completed, then maybe some news get posted. Doing update 35 and upgrading to new servers would not be a great idea. I remember the days of downtime on the NA PC upgrade.

ZOS 1st needs to deal with the fact why they are losing their playerbase and are under heavy criticism from us.

Hint:

it is being explained by many all the time - not only by quantitative data, but qualitative as well. And since our feedback has been largely ignored over the years - excluding some adjustments, PRAISE ZOS - you also get anecdotal feedback. Because what else is there?

Only then will there be any hint as to whether it makes sense to upgrade the hardware.

Now that the new patch is dropping today hopefully they can focus or hurry up the process on updating the servers so cyrodil becomes playable on the other servers.

It's barely playable PC-NA again. What little improvements have been lost.

Indeed. I'm getting stutter lag again on overland. That's simply unacceptable.
