Let Isobel's head be protected!

I've told someone in real life that their eyebrows looked messed up and that they need to fix them. They thanked me for being honest, when all of her other friends wouldn't as they were too concerned with her "feelings". These other friends chose instead to gossip about it amongst themselves when they weren't around.

So tell me, who is the ACTUAL nice person in this scenario?

I think I wouldn't want be friends with someone who thought my eyebrows were "messed up" and told me so to my face. Tact is a thing and I don't think many would really appreciate this level of 'honesty'. This all so off topic anyway, Isobel's eyebrows aren't really anything to do with whether companions should be able to wear a helmet.

Personally, I'd love for my companion to be able to wear a helmet, at least during battle, because he acts as my tank and it would be reasonable for someone wearing heavy armour to wear a helm. I have so many good hats and helms so it's something of waste not being able to use them.

If it were fake eyebrows drawn on with a pencil and not just the natural way they grew in, I don't think it'd receive that kind of reaction. Saying someone's actual face is messed up is messed up, saying someone's MAKEUP is messed up well that can be changed for the better, that's like telling someone their shoelace is untied or xyz. Not the same as telling someone they're fat or ugly or whatever. You're right though this wasn't supposed to be a thread about bashing Isobel's face, although I can understand some of the sentiment.

It is about the being able to wear the helmet to complete an armor look. However I feel about Isobel's appearance, she is my knight in shining armor and so she should have the full armor for that role.

But yeah I think, best way to do it, is they are able to wear a helmet when out and about and in combat especially, but when you talk to them face to face they take the helmet off, cause honestly that'd be weird to talk to a helmet.

but I want to see her in full armor with the helmet.

But then you wouldn't be seeing her in full armor with the helmet, you'd be seeing Generic Random Faceless House Dufort Mook. Same as anyone else wearing that helmet.

@Kiralyn2000 I think it's a lot more generic when you see isobel following you, and following another random player, and then following your friend, all at the same time.
There was a huge sea of bastians and mirri's everywhere, at least now that sea is halved by ember and isobel, but I'd rather see a "generic" soldier with their faces covered following other players, and I'd rather have Bastian following me with his head protected knowing that I have THE bastian.
It feels a lot more personal that way.
And if you don't want to put helmets to your companions because you NEED to see their faces in order to think they're people too, guess what? That would be fine too because you CAN choose not to put a helmet on them.

If you like the hollywood trope that warriors fight better without helmets so that you can see the actor's face, that's fine, but I'd rather have my companions use helmets the same way my character does.

I'd personally love to be able to put a helmet on Isobel to complete her knight look. I'm making a "knightly" costume for my favorite high Elf Templar using a mixture of silver rose, house dufort, and knight of the Circle, so that they can be knightly buddies. He'll be wearing his helmet, so I'd like her to be able to as well!

    Nah shes fine.
And she walks like a tough guy too.
    So badass.

Ugh, I hate how she walks. Sure, she's a buff female knight, but she's also kind of pretty. I dressed her in the gladiator battle bra and the chitinous pants to show off her figure and she still clunks around like a man in big bulky armor. It ruins her attractiveness.
