I know there's a cumbersome system available with a housing item or purchased summoned item, make it easier. Let players simply press a key to swap armor sets. This is mostly for stealth characters to be able to easily put on stealth armor.
There's addons for that already. I use Dressing room.
I use Dressing Room too, and I can not imagine playing without such a feature. I tried out Stadia (no add ons) for a few minutes, not gonna happen without Dressing Room.
Armory as Implemented is far from cumbersome, even if you dont have the assistant, and have long loading times the station works, and works fast.
IN ADDITION
With armory being added if you have the assistant and a blank spot, add-ons like dressing room can now actually do it all just like armory, and without paying for extra slots.
Everyone saying 'addons' forget that people on consoles would benefit from this being built into game. I agree, having quick swaps for gear would be very good- across the spectrum of players.
"I try to create sympathy for my characters, then turn the monsters loose."– Stephen King
Always remember, the reason we aren't able to swap loadouts on the fly in trials and PvP is because ZOS wanted to monetize the armory feature. Then they framed it about them being aware of pay-to-win concerns and being so "kind" as to disable the feature in trials and PvP. They could have easily made dressing room a core feature of the game but they just had to make us pay 4500 crowns for the assistant and 1500 crowns per extra slot (which are per character, not per account), while giving us the smallest number of slots that isn't 1.
Things like these are what contribute to me not wanting to put up with the update 35 disaster.
But yeah, I think it's entirely unrealistic to ask for a quality of life improvement on the armory system because ZOS would make less money that way. Gotta make people pay for that assistant and buy an expensive house and buy extra slots on every character.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.
Console player here. I have the station and the assistant. I mainly use the assistant as he can be used almost anywhere. But I have to agree that it is still a little cumbersome. Rather than a button press away, it's still several button presses including summoning and unsummoning the assistant. Don't get me wrong, it's much better than it used to be but it would be nice if it could be reduced to a single press.
The ideal for me would be if you could save each of your builds to another special quickslot wheel slot. Find the wheel, pick the slot and you're done!
