Visitors can't sit on chairs at Daggerfall Overlook

I just finished decorating this house and showed it to a few friends and they all commented that they can't sit on my chairs even though I can. If I sit on one I see me sitting but they see me still standing. I have to pick up a chair and put it into my bag then use "Z" to place it back and then they can sit and see me sit.
This only happens with single person chairs and thrones, but not benches or couches.
