Champion System crash

I put points into the champion tree and go to exit the menu and the game crashes to the PS report error screen. This has happened twice on two different characters.

Also, there is a bug that shows a cp node is slotted but it isn’t.

on pc sometimes looking through the champion points will charge up a timer to wait, the longer you stay in champion points panel the longer this waiting will be when closing it. Will freeze the game but not to crash rather to delay leaving the cp interface, happens most often on sorcerer from what i've noticed in my case.

maybe this also happens at you, seeing this delay you thought game froze and spammed buttons to exit it and that crashed the game, not the cp interface itself.
Just like when logging out of a character and there's that brief pause between second 0 and loading screen start, if you press buttons it will freeze the game and you must wait extra but if you continue pressing it will crash the game, it's the same effect that you maybe did.

I always wait 5 seconds after confirming the change in CP. If you look after clicking the button you can see the stars in the constellations flash as they are updated. I believe interrupting this process causes the crash.

Apparently they never fixed this. Happened to me on EU-PS5, my entire system froze up.

I know this post is old but they still haven't fixed this on PS5. It happens to me still. I've found that deleting our save file seems to keep it from happening at least for a while. But it always comes back like Jason friggin Voorhees.
