Treasure maps filling inventory

When I try to put my treasure maps into the bank it says I "can't do that right now." So I have a bunch of maps filling my inventory. Is there anything else I can do to lighten the load? I read I can't delete them even if I've memorized the image because they have to be in my inventory to get the treasure.

Edit: Looks like you can open up the containers and stash maps that way. But that would mean I'd have even more of my bank inventory filled up. This isn't good...

You need to open them out of the containers (which fills your inventory even more) then place them in a bank.

Recommend you create a secondary character to be a Mule for this kind of stuff though until you need them.

i have aready 3 pets and 30 maps...
eso becomes unplayable, because of the inventory, you have to choose use CE, OR craft OR quest....

@mu2 A Mule is just a character who you plan on picking stuff you dont plan on using soon from the bank and leaving it in his inventory, he doesn't adventure at all

@bennetteagle there is both a bag seller and a Bank upgrade you can get.

ok, problem solved, i deleted the first char... and now i let the mail unopend until i have the space

Yes. There is usually a "bag" merchant in the banker area.

im not really sure that you get this mail again. They are kind of delivered once for account , not nce per character

I do that...delete my first char becouse mistake with the class...lost all the maps xD .... :_(

I knew what you meant... I didn't mean my reply to be sarcastic or anything.

To the others, yeah, it isn't an optimum solution. Though I can confirm the maps vanish when you find the treasure so as you level through the areas you get the space back.

Ya, but he's lost everything. Pets, Mara rings. It even explains to you in the email not to do exactly what he just did. I guess reading things is difficult for some players.

I don't think you understand what the maps are.

They are treasure maps. They lead you to a buried chest. The 'map' has a picture of scenery painted, with an X where the treasure is. You have to find the spot by recognizing the painted scenery somewhere in the zone. If you don't have the map item in your inventory, the chest will not be there even if you go to the spot.

It's standard edition. I do not care much about the maps and pets. And it's not a matter of reading, was a silly mistake from the begining (mistake the class i wanted to play), in fact, the system message is there after that many people make the same error.

yes but so expensive or maybe that's because I'm new to the game and I guess still low level but I can't afford upgraded slots so I just made 3 alt characters to store all my items in.

Yeah its annoying. Im going to create a place holder character to store all stuff like that.

I recommend opening up only the container with maps, that is for you faction till you get veteran rank. You can diminish the map count quite quickly by digging up the treasures, other stuff like pets put in the bank, it has quite enough slots and you can buy more for bank as well as inventory

Remember as well that you can take out one map at a time and leave the rest "rolled up" in the container. When I went to Kenarthi's Roost I just undid the first map, found it and then did the second. Then when I moved to Auridon I did the same thing. Saves a ton of space that way.

I recommend only pulling out one map at a time (the map you're currently in), and then pressing alt, to leave the rest in the container, this means all your treasure maps only take up at max 5 bag space, very efficient.

So, when you create a place holder do you realize that while it has its own individual inventory, ALL of you characters on your account share the same bank vault?

you cannot store them in the bank until you open the container they are in. Then you will have no problem storing them!!

I would have rather the developers just borrow the feature most MMOS have and send Maps and vanity pets to every character you make automatically. Actually, this is one thing they did that I have not figured out. Why do we have to shuffle items from the back to different characters?

I have sent /feedback about that.

Treasure maps themself are BOUND as well. Meaning can't drop those in the bank like I can't drop the containers there

Okay... NVM... BOUND but I can drop them in the bank. Time to make an alt to pick them up

I simply carry the 4 containers on my main char and only take maps out one by one when i need them. That way, i only give up 4 slots.

This is a good idea. Alas as I had autoloot enabled I didn't even realize I could.

I have the map containers on the character I opened the mail with- but I don't see how to get the Coldharbour map to a character there.... Any solutions?

Through the bank, it's shared between your characters and you can put individual maps in the bank just fine ...

@SirAndy: I know but how can a character in Coldharbour get it? There's no bank there. Unless it's for use at a later unknown point.
