I finished the Dark Brotherhood skill line (not to be confused with the story line, which I also finished). The skill line consists of 12 levels. After I leveled up to all 12 levels, I got a message stating that for 2000 crowns, I can now buy an automatic skill level up for my other characters. I know and I'm very well aware that Zenimax does this with other skill lines, skyshards, even selling vampire and werewolf bites, but this kind of thing not only makes me not want to level up another Dark Brotherhood skill line, it also makes me not want to play a secondary character knowing all of the hard work and time I put and spent to get there. There are many things you can put in your store to make money, these are not it.

Another thing that kind of made me disappointed in Zenimax, there's a UPS looking outfit called the Royal Courier. I bought it with Seals of Endeavor that I worked hard to earn. We all know about Zenimax's hate and enmity for Seals of Endeavor and how they were forced to put it as a loophole for the loot boxes. That Royal Courier outfit cost 2,000 Seals of Endeavor. I felt like it was worth it. I wore it for a lot of days, it looks good, etc. I go in the store and see the hood was also available for purchase. The one-piece small hood that goes with the Royal Courier UPS outfit is also being sold for 2,000 Seals of Endeavor (the same price as the entire outfit). What? That doesn't even make sense.

Zenimax's crown store policies are one of its biggest weak points. I've (and many others in the community) already made a post on how Zenimax can generate money. They can also reach out to me (and to anybody in the community) at any time and haven't done so. More to the point, these predatory policies are not it and are not community friendly.

Many of us really wanted to not have to hunt skyshards on multiple alts, and we got it. But we also got a Crown cost for that we did not want. A gold cost would have been acceptable, but a Crown cost is not.

I thought I might do it for the skyshards in Cyrodiil if I ever wanted them all on one character, but even that is not too hard to do (though painfully long, including waiting for both open gates on the other 2 alliances), so I can't see spending Crowns even there.

It should have been a gold sink, but it was turned into a Crown item instead.

The feature that allows you to change your character spec is another area. I could even live with a Crown cost of unlocking another slot, but a full Crown cost PER CHARACTER? Blech.

I don't want to have to spend $10 every time I want to change a character's appearance. It's highway robbery. I have a character I made in early access in 2014 that I still have not played because I rushed through his creation to secure the name in the first few minutes of the game coming online, and would play him later when they made an in-game barbershop.

Great opportunity for a gold sink but they messed it up.
