Why does my character need to lose half their arms volume with wayward?

Why on a heavy armor my character loses half the volume of their arms? Shouldn't Clothing increase the thicness of the arm instead?
I have done over 6 alts and applied the armor to them just to test a look that would look decent that's 30k gold already.
I have wasted 2 appearance change tokens also over this and now i can't afford anymore. I can't even finalise the look now, gotta earn 2million gold min and not be scammed on a crown trade.
apparently just for the armor to work on this alt i had to decrease leg syze and max out arm syze and it still looks like my character skipped arm day for some reason.
I am really not sure, why there can't be one, one perfect motif. all of them require flaws and i can't understand why. We waste hours farming them or gold buying just to be disappointed.
And worse to make some motifs work we ruin our character in all outfits.
And no, i can't use any other motif, this one is the one i like, the medium armor version and crimson oaths all have floating hip flaps that trigger me.

✭Many armors cause bodies to do weird things, as someone who collects styles and motifs, the list is far too long to make.
All I have to offer, is buyer beware. Always preview, you can preview even those you do not own via the collections menu any time, anywhere.
Mind, I don't always take my own advice, and have recently trashed crowns on items from the high isle boxes that are just plain broken.
As a side note, do know, these cosmetics will never be fixed.
