So Ember's special gift to to us as a companion is the chance to receive special wallets when pick pocketing. Similar to how Mirri gives us a bonus parcel when opening chests. However Ember's wallets are not received in addition to regular pickpocket loot but in place of. Specifically the wallets replace finding a blue quality treasure item. The wallets are only worth around 100-200 gold. Blue treasure items have a base value of 250 gold which can be increased through passives etc to 338 gold. Because of this, what is supposed to be a perk is actually a significant debuff. If you increase your rapport with her the debuff gets upgraded to being permanent and account wide.
