Throne of Wilderking

During the thrown of the wilderking quest you are supposed to use a bundle of roots to pass the fires. The animation starts and you go underground but then you immediately come back up without the effect and it does not work against the fire. To pass the quest I had to just run in the fire and die, and then as a ghost pass the fire. Since there are multiple parts to this, I had to die numerous times to get all the way through.
