Question on the vanity pets (and losing them)

I accidentally deleted the character that had my monkey vanity pet in his inventory (i forgot to put it in my bank) So now I wonder if I will be able to get my monkey back somehow.
I would figure that I would receive an other mail with my monkey but that doesn't seem to be the case

As it said in the mail with the items, they only come once sadly! It might be worth contacting CS about it but I wouldn't hold out much hope ~ Time and again I switch and I change, but I always come back to you.0 -
