Don't you feel like current burst dmg and heal scalling out of dmg kinda killed brawlers? I've tried to build something of like off-tank/brawler and just no matter what it doesn't work. Either not enough dmg to outdamage player overheal or not enough own heal to sustain enemy mindless burst. Everyone use class spammables cuz if you are not blocking you melt in 5 seconds no matter how much resistances do you have.

It's impossible to play meele and go into fight and not die instantenoulsy (you don't taunt, people will just target closest player like drones). This 3-6k resistances (4,5% - 9% damage mitigation) that comes from different armor types just don't change anything. People on average hit on crit for 8-10k, so base of spammable is usually around 11k so if you mitigate out of it 4k which will cost you propably most of your offensive capabilities... you still end up getting hit for 6-7k on crit or 3,5-4k with spammable.
Aaand fights 1vs1 are rare anyway... feels like idea of "stand and fight" is gone for good. Melee shouldn't deal that "outrageous" 10% more dmg on average but should be more resilient.

I just don't like killing and dying on 1LA + 1Spammable + 1ULTI and maybe proc dmg.
