Oakensoul Ring - Lead Igneous Inlays?

I already had 3 leads for the ring but I didn't care that much about it. But then - because of my birthday - my son sent me High Isle and because of just to have it I started to look for the ring (thank you so much son, we will meet in PVP area grrr). And since then I did at least 70 Volcanic Vents with different toons, some in a group, some solo - but nothing. On day 2 I thought I've got this lead and digged it out but as it can not be seen anymore and 2 parts are still missing apparently I was mistaken.

Yes, I know that the drop is very rare but did anybody get this lead in the last week?

I guess I'm lucky but I got it on my third vent. Sounds like you've fallen victim to poor RNG. It will definitely drop soon. I know it sounds stupid, but are you looting the volcanic cache at the end of the encounter?

I had to run a LOT of vents (I lost count) before it dropped for me, but it eventually did.
It took me longer to get this lead than any of the other four; even the Murkmire lead, with everyone camping the boxes and troves.

About 20 vents, funny thing was that I got the lockbox lead on the first try.

For me it took about three weeks of doing at least one vent daily. The day it finally dropped I was basically running from vent to vent until the lead eventually dropped. So I guess it took somewhere between 40 and 50 vents for me.

On one character I got this lead after about the 10th vent. On another one, it was the 4th vent. I still have four more to get - I'm more concentrating on the tickets right now, so after the event ends I'll get back to it.

Sadly its random, i decided to get the ring to try it and i farmed all 5 of the leads (5 right) in one evening in about 3-4 hours or play. Sorry it takes some people so long.

@TaSheen why not just reconstruct the ring for your alts??

It's only 25 transmute crystals per ring. I never dig out more than one set of leads for a Mythic!

It's not for alts - I have 3 accounts, play both PC megaservers, and have 4 more "mains" to get the ring on so I CAN recon it for alts down the road (since at the moment I have only 7 CP 160s, and none of those are on my newest account - which also doesn't have any transmute crystals as yet).

I closed the achievement 30 vents long ago.
I've try almost all of my heroes. Game has been trolling me for 3 days

Am I the only one whose experience is that it takes longer with every next lead? Or can people vouch it took forever to find the first ones but it sped up afterwards?

Yup, the one from the vents I did last and took the longest, maybe 30-40 vents to get it.
Even the lock box one was (slightly) easier.

Necro topic, I know.

I'm up to 50+ lock boxes now (I guess more like 70), still no lead. (No, I don't have it already, of course, did check before...)
This seems like excessivly bad RNG luck.

Is this your first lead for it? Or 2nd, or 3rd? The first one seems to be really fast (I had to get 6 rings - because I play 3 accounts on both PC megaservers) and the first safebox lead never took more than a couple of boxes on any one of them.

However, a friend who's trying to do the whole codex on everything (which I'm not, don't care about it) hasn't got the 3rd one after close to 75.

Did you know it can also drop from thieves troves in Murkmire? They added that in a while back.

Thanks. This is the first lead. Of course I'm not 100% sure if I once had the lead and let it time out.
I know about the troves, thanks. The lockboxes respawn quite fast, so that's what I check for...

Well, now - that's a tad bit odd, though it's possible that the game RNG thinks it's not the first. But yes, the safeboxes do respawn faster than the troves. I never went anywhere other than the two in Alten Meerhleel - rotated a few characters from each account for just an hour or so. One of them, not sure which one, got it on the first box - the rest went a little slower, and only one took more than 4.

I waited until the "rush" was over.... no way was I going to mess with it the way it was at first! But really the worst lead for me was the one from the crab boss. And the sixth one from him, for my "youngest" main on PC EU 3rd account, took about 6 months of trying whenever a weekend evening (EU local time) came around so there would be at least a few people there....

Sucky RNG, I've had that on other mythics, even made a few posts myself. Odd thing was on the Oakensoul I got almost all the leads on the first try. It took me about the same amount of time to dig them up than it did to get them.
