Did travelling without using a wayshrine get way cheaper or is something up?

I noticed it only cost either 29 or 92 gold (can't remember which one) to travel without a wayshrine, and when I was going to travel too early it didn't cost 800 like it usually does. Is this an error or something for the event?

I have updated my addons, but I haven't disabled them - yet

The “Wanderer” CP Passive reduces the gold cost of wayshrine usage by up to 50%.

May want to check if you have any CP allocated to the wanderer CP passive.
If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

      Thanks everyone for your answers

Now that is a change that is welcome even if it's just for the event

I honestly feel like the cost should be done away with, how many calculations are running at all times for how long ago each active player who recently used a wayshrine, used a wayshrine? It just comes off as entirely redundant to have all those calculations + calculations for CP slottable running all the time. It should rather be that, if you discovered a wayshrine, you're free to travel there, no cost. No calculations, just hey good for you, you found a wayshrine once and now you can use it to travel.

Disagree with free, but agree on removing the calculations, make it fixed price.

I'm shocked that's still a thing tbh. Especially since they made a point of saying the reason for getting rid of acertain features, buffs and whatnot was to ease server strain and calculations.

Not arguing the keep it or not position, just saying... it's likely just a single variable (time of last port), and it only has to check when you're on a map & hovering a wayshrine. All the other stuff (CP reductions/etc) are set parts of an equation. So the overhead is likely really low. /shrug

(that said, it could easily just be switched to a set amount, modified by CP)

Use guild mates as covert taxis if they are in the zone you want 😉
Ebonheart Pact, Nord Templar/healer on NA Xbox server. My main toon WAS a tall and foxy redhead - now she has been gamma-irradiated and has green skin and black hair. 3 other characters I only use for writs. Can't be bothered to create multiple toons - EXCEPT now my WW is getting spooled up for Cyrodiil - Blood For The Pact! IRL cranky sometimes redhead chick at large in Las Vegas, NV
