Alliance Points and Tel Var stones for Gold?

Just a thought for ZOS...

I've accumulated a lot of AP and Tel Var over time thanks to Daily log-in rewards, but, I have zero use for them because I don't go into Cyrodiil or IC - so, how about giving us the ability to trade them in for gold at an in-game bank? (or some kind of in-game trader?)

Why don't you just trade them in?

- For Tel'Var stones you just need to enter the starting section of Imperial City, you can trade them for Hakeijo runes that are worth 40-60k gold each.

- For Alliance Points you can trade them for some stuff in the starting area of Cyrodiil, for gear bags that contain special set items which can be worth hundreds of thousands of gold (and sometimes even millions) each you may need to travel a bit.

You also want to unlock Alliance rank 3 for the fast riding passive on your characters. You just need to do the introduction quest in Cyrodiil, no fighting against other people at all.

You can't trade AP/Tel-Var directly to gold but you can:

Tel-Var:
- buy Hakeijo
- buy Weapon containers (targetting Powerfull Assualt weapons, specially the ice staff)
- buy Armor containers which have a chance to have a polymorph (which you can sell)

AP:
- buy gold jewelry from the Golden Vendor
- buy Akaviri motif style pages
- buy Militant Ordinator motif style pages

Small correction:
While any of the three polymorphs can drop in the fully random bag, that can't be sold.
A runebox for each of the three can be bought for quite a large amount of tel var; that runebox with the poly can be sold to another player.
Also wanted to add, I know a lot of people have gone for buying the tel var alchemy satchels to sell those materials or the potions made from them to convert tel var to gold.

Trade them in to who?

There are vendors in each of the starting areas who trade for motifs and other items. Tel'Var are traded in the IC alliance base. Alliance points in the Cyrodiil alliance base though you might have to travel to it depending upon which of the two entry areas you are placed in. Neither are combat areas where you have to worry about PvP.

A word of warning is the motifs for sale are not cheap being in the 100K - 400K alliance point range. I've not looked to sell my Tel'Var yet so not sure of their item costs. The cost or time to acquire the currency doesn't bother me as I see being able to buy the PvP stuff as icing on the cake but it might bother some folks.

I save AP and Tel Var to buy Dawn-prism and Hakeijo for master writs (and occasionally for my own use).

Hakeijo is best use for tel var imo. It's consistent and you know what you'll get.

With golden jewellery for AP, anything from a dungeon is bound, op, so don't buy them (unless you want it of course).

The ones that aren't, you should go for sets which are good in pve. No real point buying the ones which are good in PvP, as players will have the AP to buy them anyway.

Another good thing to buy with AP is Alliance Spell Power potions. But, not close to Whitesrakes Mayehm event, as the market gets flooded with them.
