I can't spend my Champion points

I tried to spend some of my champion points to increase a couple of the abilities I have to a higher level. Every time I try to increase any of the items on my trees, I get a message that says "This ability cannot be purchased until an adjacent ability is purchased" I already have the abilities. I'm just trying to increase them.

I just tried logging out and logging back in and it still won't let me spend points upgrading anything on any tree.

I did search first but didn't find anything. With a Guildmates help in game, however, I did find out that I didn't find the right post because I searched under the wrong thing. My issue has been solved. I found the skills that changed in the update and applied the points I needed to unlock the other abilities.
