Feeling weird about height

Now I tend to play around 5-7 meter behind and a bit above so don't notice it that much.
But interacting with huge Khajiit breeds like Embers Pahmar friend and suddenly talking at eye level like he lifted this one up, he should be crouching.
And yes more Khajiit types would be nice even if only cosmetic,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

So, I am a 6,4 man with Scandinavian and German roots. Naturally I love playing as Nords and being the biggest character around. I've been playing ESO for close to 6 years now and I have almost ALWAYS played as a Nord. I'm trying to branch out now and play as a cool Khajiit White Tiger Dragonknight. But running around, even at max height, I feel so short compared to everyone else. Maybe it's just that I'm used to super tall nords or maybe any race that isn't a Orsimer, Nord or Altmer is short. Does anyone else feel like this? If so would allowing all races to be whatever height between a certain minimum and maximum be bad or good. I personally would love it. What do you think? (Sorry if format weird, first time posting to forums)

    Try a Bosmer :D

fun fact; a short Bosmer can have trouble jumping over most obstacles in Tamriel, like fences and boxes and ...up stairs xD

    Harder to kill in pvp

I think feeling short compared to everyone else is just because you're used to playing a max height nord. My characters range from a short (but not minimum height) bosmer to a tall nord and I spend most of my time playing a khajiit who is below average height, and using the thief personality so she's not standing up straight and if I notice the difference I don't think much about it.

That's what my girlfriend says "I don't think everyone is short, I think you're used to seeing a giant wall." So you're right, I just gotta get over that habit of seeing a giant.

It also matters what cities you are in. I swear some players of certain races hang out in certain cities over others

Naturally, as many players have a penchant for a certain race/culture. Maybe OP should move to Grahtwood :D

Oh I can confirm that theory. All the nords, myself included hang out at either Riften or Mournhold.

If I'm not questing, I'm mostly on Vvardenfell, or in Stonefalls or Deshaan. So, yes, I can confirm.

I know what you mean. I lost 2 race change tokens just resetting a chars height because i couldnt deal with the fact i made my char shorter just a bit by mistake.

Are nords taller than high elfs?

High Elfs are like 3 inches taller than Nords. I remember seeing somewhere that max height male nord is like 6"9 and max height high elf is 6'11. So just a little bit taller.

No, altmer and nords are the same height. And there is no feet indicator either. That's just people estimating.

Regarding height, I love how different the animations are when using Blade of Woe. I have two assassins in my flock, one is max height slider Nord, and the other is a min slider Bosmer naturalised to Ohmes. Nord often just simple picks up the enemies and stabs them, while Ohmes (Bosmer) usually trips his victims and jumps on top of them.

The vampire feeding animations has a lot of height based animations. It's a bit of a pity you don't end up seeing them often because they are quite well done.

I have only one vampire (the aforementioned Nord) and after the changes I rarely feed, as I like being stage one. The only times I bite is when I help other players become vampires. The animations there are quite nice, but they often bug out due to confined space around the altar.

So my Dunmer seems to be short :D Or he just likes to attack people who are much taller then him...

It's strange, isn't it? It doesn't make much sense to me, introducing so many different new animations, but you can rarely see them. Also, feeding seems so natural and neccessary for a vampire, it's weird they limit it so much.

No they are different heights. Have a max nord and max high elf stand next to each other. Altmer are taller but skinnier.

Indeed, it makes little sense because not only do it often bug, but there is so little reason to go around feeding so you rarely ever get to see them, and there is quite a bunch. Like at least three of every height vs height combination.

Kinda wasteful put in something that seems to have been quite a bit of work to vampires that is barely seen over something that is to them.

My shorty has a variety of animations for that.

I am 5 foot nothing IRL. I barely notice a character is short until they're standing next to someone tall. 😅

true, I was amazed because i kept seeing the same animations, than i faced high elf soldiers on quests and there were all types of diferent ones, i than searched and traveled to ken artis and saw more animations killing wood elfs.

the best you can do is keep your character in a not huge, but not small either syze

my fav animation is when executing enemies with blade of woe, your char just stabs them on the back of the head
