ToT question: 6 gold in very first turn, how is that possible?

I just played a game of Tales of Tribute against another player. The very very first turn, he/she gets 6 gold. How is that possible. Everyone starts with the 10 same basic cards right, And you draw five of them, so it shouldn't have been possible to get 6 gold in the very first turn. Or am I missing something?

Whichever player is playing second gets a free coin on the first turn to make up for the fact that they don't have first pick at the tavern. That means it's impossible for the first player to get more than 5 coins in the first turn, but totally possible for player 2 to have 6 on the first turn

Kwama egg mine x2 in the tavern + the Hlaalu resource card in hand can do it. There are probably other ways, but I've seen that one once. Grabbing Rally on the first turn is just wrong.

Could be. Don't remember him/her picking a card from the tavern. But it is possible that was it.

The person who goes second gets a bonus 1 gold to start, to account for the disadvantage of not going first
