Not ranking up?

I've been playing the ranked dailies over and over, but it just says 3-2, and doesn't go up after that?
Can I really only play 5 ranked matches a season? Just doesn't seem right to me as can usually grind for rank.
Or is there some other way to rank up?

Once you play your placement matches, it adds you to the rank tiers and you rank up through that. If it doesn't show it immediately, try fully logging out and back in. It doesn't seem to update right away but the relog will kick the system and usually update the visuals.

Gooootcha that makes sense, I didn't even think of logging out when normally would've, just been playing ToT lol

I have a similar issue: after reaching Voidsteel rank, I went to do my crafting writs, and then when I checked the ToT bar it still showed me at the middle of Quicksilver. I didn't lose any matches after reaching Voidsteel--anyone knows if it's a bug or what's going on? I don't want to resume from Quicksilver again and lose all that progress as it took ages.

Edit to add: Logging out and relogging didn't fix it for me, but after quitting the game and restarting it, it showed the correct progress, if anyone else is having the same issue.

If you are assuming you (not you personally here, but the universal 'you') have ranked up by the progress bar on the match result screen, then you're in for a surprise, as the progress bar calculation on the match result is completely wrong. A +200 XP match win somehow adds a random large amount to that bar, and it could be interpreted as ranking up as it managed to show me at eg. 2120 / 2000 xp. This is in addition to the rewards you actually don't get (Prophet's items etc..)

If you are working from the XP progress shown in the competitive activity screen, then that to me appears correct. This seems to be what you are seeing, so personally you can ignore the above paragraph. For this, its a built in delay yet again.
