Crowns and gold

Hey y'all! I bought my wife an eso account so we could play together. Thing is we just had a baby and now she's not wanting to get into it. So...I have this account with a ton of crowns that I'm not going to play on. I know I can sell the crowns for gold but can I transfer the gold to my account without being banned for gold buying? Thoughts? Go!

As long as you're not doing via posting a single potato to a guild vendor for all the gold you want to transfer it "shouldn't" flag since your accounts should show the same login area, if your account gets flagged somebody at zos just takes a peek and manually decides, i think. I don't think youre in any danger as long as you simply mail it too yourself. And if its your first "flag" they probably wont even look into it unless you do it again in a very short time

Those darn 15m potatoes....but that makes sense. Yea we will be in the same house on the same IP. I just wanted to ask before I tried it and got banned.

I routinely give my wife millions of gold, and sometimes she does the same. Never a hint of disciplinary anything. So I'd think you'd be fine.

I routinely pass millions between my various accounts. No one's ever said a word.

What is the point of buying crowns? I thought they were a legitimate way to "buy gold". They keep players from going to 3rd party sites. And Jagex gets their cut.

Can we sell gifts or not? I just came back to game and am really confused about this.

I need an answer on this. Because I have always thought this was legitimate. I would have no other reason to buy crowns other than trade them for gold.

Sorry, I have no idea if it's still legit or not. I never have done that. And I really don't keep track of what's going on with that sort of thing.

I would suggest you post your own question about this as a new topic, and @ tag ZOS_Kevin.

Short answer: selling crown store gifts for gold is, as it has always been, 100% legitimate. However, crates are currently only giftable by going through customer service, and that service says "no selling."

Just be careful when you do crown gifting for gold trades, because you could get scammed, ie., you gift the crowns but the other person never sends you the gold, etc., and it's difficult to sort that out with zos afterwards. Safer to trade with friends or guildies you know, or via discord servers like TCE (tamriel crown exchange).
