This is a good question. Those who are not attracted to men are probably going to say 'no'. Obviously that's not going to be the whole thing as not everyone who is interested in men has the same taste but I do wonder.

That is a completely different question. It's possible to like the way someone looks because you like the way they dress for example. What I wanted to know was if others found him attractive.

Also, a person doesn't have to be attracted to men or women in a romantic way to have an opinion on whether or not they find someone has an attractive appearance.

It's probably ended up closer to a gender/sexuality demographic poll than something saying anything profound about the character. A third option to account for "not interested in npcs/not into male npcs" would have given more information.

The poll isn't asking if players find him romantically attractive. As I pointed out a person doesn't have to be attracted to men or women in a romantic way to have an opinion on whether or not they find them attractive.

Companions are literally like kids - you have to clothe them, give them transportation, keep them amused (rapport) and even feed them

So, nah, this one is unable to think of companions in terms of attractiveness since it’s a full time job just looking after the “kids”.
