Optimal percentage for Templar’s beam?

I’ve heard slightly different answers on this, but what is the best percentage to start beaming and when should you drop other dots and just beam?

I have no data or evidence, just anecdotal experience... but I tend to start beaming under 30%. I do not tend to drop other dots until below 20% ish.

I would have thought some experienced magplars out there would have been able to provide more data driven responses... id be interested to know as well!

Not sure it's still relevant but was around 37% or something couple years ago.

Thank you both. I also have done some very rough comparisons on a 6 mil dummy and found 35% to be noticeably better than 30%. I’ll have to give 37% a go too. Problem is I play on Stadia so can’t use addons for proper diagnostics.

That was my thought as well! I tried to search the forums before I made this post and was surprised not to find anything. Of course I may have just missed it, but I hoped there might be some legendary execute spreadsheet floating around there somewhere.

It was discussed years ago quite publicly but things have changed since and plar wasn't particularly focused a lot. Things like different CP's would also dictate how early you should start it and drop the dots. There was an addon howtobeam that had calculations in it but Idk if that's still supported and updated to check, I'd guess some popular discord channels can still easily give the right answer for you, after tre death it's esou now probably? The one that was Nefas personal one years ago.

If you're asking for PvP the correct answer is to stand behind a group of friendly players and start at 100%.

I was thinking the same thing. And if by yourself, probably just skip it as the delay is enough to allow a HOT to tick

Been quite a while since I played Templar but I vividly remember the agony of watching the long animation of the hand pulling back then thrusting forward before the beam actually started and how often people would heal out of execute before they took any damage from it. The tooltip says instant but it's more like a .6 second cast time in practice.

If you don't start execute at 99% are you even playing the game?
