I’ve been happy overall with High Isles but it sure has made me think about replaying Witcher 3 Wild Hunt again. Lol

Yes, it does remind me of the Blood and Wine expansion. But I'm an Elder Scrolls fan since Oblivion, so I'll enjoy the sunflowers here! ☺🌻🌻 have fun, if you Do replay!

I gotta give them credit when credit is due high isle is not bad they even seemed to listen to players some with the world bosses there challenging to say the least I can usually solo most world bosses but high isle seem to be the toughest yet also they peppered the coast line with giant clams I personally have enjoyed farming the reagents that drop from them the card game is ok I don’t hate it but I also don’t love it it’s a different thing to pass the time if your not doing anything else dsr the new trial is really neat with the new mechanics the mythics are also not bad to obtain I have the oakensole sea serpents coil and the belt but that’s my two cents on the new chapter I rate it a B- but still enjoyable

Gotta admit I really love High Isle as well. The companions are fun, the zone is really pretty, Amenos feels like an actual forest, the cardgame is a lot of fun, and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of skillpoints the expansion gives.
I do feel the difficulty is a bit too high, mostly for world bosses. Which will be a major problem when the expansion is going to be older. And I do not like the volcanic vents much, they are too spread out with too few mobs and due to that reason barely give any exp. Volcanic vents also take too much time to do, and this will become a problem when the zone gets older. Basically they are not worth running more than once.

The expansion launched without any major issues, I haven't crashed once. I did run into a few minor bugs, which could mostly be fixed with a relog. So overall a fantastic launch!

Would rate High Isle an 8/10. Which is very close to my top expansion Morrowind, which I would rate 9/10.

PS: Would love it if ZOS revisited older zones and adds some more skillpoints in them, like Vvardenfell for example does not give many skillpoints at all. (The game nowadays has so many skilllines which we need to fill all at once(excavation/scrying/etc) from level 1, so doing this will only better the game.)

That's a very long sentence for two cents  !

The quests was good and so nice not having to save the universe again just the alliance leaders
Zone was nice, but it has to be larger than shown on the map, here its much smaller than Southern Elsweyr.

Minor nitpick, having the main island, northern jungle island and the capital separated makes it hard to see the locations of quests.
Farming delves and world bosses for Ember and Isobel report should be easy to make the map show locations.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

One part that was not yet received a praise in this thread I think do deserve is the trial. I think it is a good trial, the twins are an enjoyable amalgamation of MoL twins and bahsei of Rockgrove. The sidebosses are a bit dull, and I consider them to be just 2 extra pieces of loot you get for killing the twins. The coral Earthgore is okay of a boss, the portal mechanic is IMO one of the most enjoyable iterations of portals (but does not beat MoL backyard IMO) and the final boss is a nice mixture of parsing and mechanics.

Most of the trash pulls are good, only thing that felt like it was jam packed full of things was the final add pull. I haven't been personally a part of a run that did not struggle with it and so far the only way I've seen it solved was to first focus the keelsplitter and then kill the rest.

The secret buffs also are fun, even if they have lead to several deaths by getting characters into supersonic speed. Hunting them is kinda fun.

I have not understood the story yet, so cannot comment on that. Also my views comes from the veteran non-hm mode of it, YMMV.

I agree the trial was fun and also enjoyed both Coral Aerie and Shipwrights regret (even though they aren’t part of High Isles still…). Loved the Public Dungeon on High Isles too. Haven’t tried the one on Amenos yet.
