Poll: Skip leveling alts as an option, when you're creating them.

    A 'conditional' yes from me.

Yes for as long as is optional.

I don't have an issue with people who want this having the facility to do so, I just don't want it imposed on everyone by default.

    Hello,

I personally find the idea of leveling up a character from the scratch, when you can use champion points on them, as something that contradicts with itself.

At the very least, as an option, players should have the choice of starting from the scratch, or continuing from where you've previously left off. Levels, skill lines, skyshards, lorebooks, etc. (for free.)

What do you all think, should we have an option about this?

To me this the most eloquent advocacy for a Class Change Token I have read to date. I had redundant alts, I deleted them during the AWA controversy. I would like to have changed their class and have every point reset as a new palette, perhaps with a monthly cooldown. IMHO

Just the mere fact of having to redo certain skill lines makes me cringe.

However new alts should not be fit for fight at creation time.

Somehow this is difficult for others.

Let's be honest here. The guy that wants to speed level is just going to get Skyreach runs and isn't going to level by "playing the game" as others have claimed. So let's just save the dude 4-6ish hours and give him the option to skip leveling entirely.

No, I enjoyed leveling up all 18 toons, that's a large part of the game

That's an assumption, I leveled all 18 toons by playing the game by running quest, delves and dungeons. Daily random dungeons provided a good XP boost, completing main quest and main zone quest also giving good XP boost and using those XP boost scrolls. It just takes time.

All the pressure these days is on trivialising games, and trying to justify that by putting it forward purely as an option. Put simply, it's wrong and I don't agree with it.

With account wide achievements and the diminished value in having additional alts then this becomes a more rational suggestion.
Not that I agree with the in which account wide achievement was implemented or, indeed, this suggestion.

I think you've misunderstood. We're talking about people already inclined to level through fast.

Does it matter much? That is unless you buy skyshard with cach?

I would dislike this because it takes time to learn a class, Maybe if you already have that race/class combination to 50 it should... maybe be an option? But outside of that specific scenario people need to learn their classes and it'd make veteran dungeon matchmaking very bad in my opinion.

What do you learn from low levels with half empty bars of unmorphed skills? Some class defining skills are locked deep into skill trees.

If anything, after hitting level 50, players need to unlearn their terrible low level playstyle and start learning the real rotations when all skills are finally unlocked.

You know you're asking for a cash shop convenience option, don't you?

You don't have to spend real life money to spend Champion Points on brand new characters. This would be a minor extension to that idea.

The CP for the whole account thing was done back in the days when the cash shop was much less aggressive. If it were being added now that extra armory slots are per character and you need a 6K crown assistant to do it out in the field, I think I know how it would be implemented.

"ZOS did something good before. I won't support the idea of ZOS doing something good again because they haven't done a good thing for the player base in a long time."

You're literally defending their monetization while being against it.

You do realize that ZOS would monetize this don't you? want proof? see the skyshard and skill line sections of the crown store for items that players wanted to have be "account wide"
It would obviously be monetized, and it would be whale bait since you would then need to buy skill lines and skyshards.
Getting this playing the game would take you to level 50 anyway so its pointless just buying the level 50 boost.

I tend to level new alts by stationing them at the stable and running random normal's as I need the dungeon quest skill points anyway but I look at alts as long term investments.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
