I have been playing Tales of Tribute fairly regularly since High Isle's release. I reached end of the progression and entered the leaderboard, and everything was fine. I was winning, losing, climbing and falling as normal.
As of late yesterday I was at rank 11 on the leaderboard and was thinking of logging off.
I decided to play 1 more game, turns out it was a loss, oh well, that's not too bad, -100ish MMR, down a few spots on the leaderboard, whatever, I'll win more tomorrow. I go and look to see what position I am in and I see this:
I am pretty shocked, that's exactly 1,000 tribute score lost. With such a perfect round number that has to be a bug right? I report it using the ingame bug reporter (no response as of making this post). Some people in discord say it might just be because I lost to a new player or someone super low ranked, because I was near the top of the leaderboard. I don't know if it's possible to lose that much ELO in one loss in an ELO system where the baseline is 1,000, but whatever.
I log back in today, still at 519 tribute score, and think well maybe it was a one off freak loss, and I wonder how much ELO I'll get back by winning. I queue up and win a game (likely against someone with significantly higher ELO) and gain +194 tribute score.
Ok climbing back up might not be so bad, maybe 10 wins or so. I play another one, win again, this time only +129 tribute score, whatever.
I queue again, this time it's a close game against someone who obviously has spent a lot of time playing. I lose, and I see this:
What the ***.
Is my account bugged? Is the ELO system bugged? I don't know what's going on. I recently hit adept rank (rank 5) in the tribute guild, maybe it has something to do with that? All I know is that prior to yesterday, my wins and losses both earned me either plus or minus 100ish tribute score, with variance accounted for presumably by difference in ranking, as a basic ELO system dictates. As of now though, if I lose a game, I seem to lose 1,000 tribute score.
ZOS pls fix.
