Challenges Of The Past.

I completed 3 matches as part of the tournament (quest that unlocked at rank 5 of tribute ranks), and it says to return to Razhamad, and when I go there he has no quest marker and just says "we are preparing for the next tournament" so I can't complete the quest or do anything.. was really eager to get this done.

I tried reloadui, and exiting game and coming back in and I tried abandoning the quest and competing with all three again and won them all again, came back and exactly the same.

It says "I am the first one back" and to speak to Razhamad but I can't. Please fix this.

I can't find anyone else who has had this bug so I don't understand why its just me.

Compass shows him there with quest icon, but none actually on him, no quest completion or progression.

Yes. This happened to me as well. After many communications with support I did the following:

/reloadui
/camp for 1/2 hour
Abandoned and replayed the tournament.

All with the same result. And I have the same screen shots. I cannot return the quest nor progress.

OK so at least it isn't just me, but it doesn't seem very common, I can't find people complaining about this.

The only abnormalities I've had were my internet dropping about four or five times during pvp tribute matches.

And once it said I had completed some Novice achievement, presumably leveling up tribute rank, but I was still a hundred or so away from leveling up.

So I thought maybe there were behind the scenes computations about what my score really was, different to shown figures, so I played and won a few more PVP tribute games to compensate for any possible difference and still no quest marker.

I doubt this will be fixed for ages, since it seems rare and cause is unknown.

Not good, really wanted to level this up.

Unless a GM manually updates the quest for us, we are kind of fluffed.

I did also notice sometimes that if I turn around quickly I briefly see other NPCs in the room that fade out, as if there is some kind of clash of instances.

This is still an issue. Nothing I have tried, including disabling add-ons has corrected it.

Same.. I even hit rank 7 where the next quest is supposed to start, but nothing.

I'm sorry to hear you're still having the same problem. I was hoping one of us would hit on a solution.

I did the same thing: playing like crazy to get that rank and it didn't change the issue.

I bet we've even played against each other on that mad dash to 7 rank!

The same thing has just happened to me, it's beyond frustrating. I had no issue with the quest on the PTS.

Sorry to hear you're having the same issue, Ragged_Claw. It's pretty frustrating for those of us dedicated to the card game.

Update: Upon accepting Escape from Amenos, I stopped by the gaming hall. The quest we've been waiting for was accessible now and I could progress.

Thanks for letting me know! I replayed the tournament with a different character and it worked, but I want to continue on my main, so I'll try getting that quest.

I really didn't want to rush through any quests but I'm max rank at tribute now haha. So cool that you get a little furnishing.
Hopefully this does it, who knows what the trigger is but I'm glad it worked for you.

I just want to confirm that this exact step worked for me. As soon as I finished Deadly Investigations and accepted Escape From Amenos (and not before) I was able to hand in Challenges of the Past and (at max rank now) accept other quest.

i already completed all high isle story quests before getting the bugged challenges of the past quest. also tried reloadui, relogging, waiting a day, abandon quest and replay tournament, complete some random quests in other zones.. no changes, still the same issue,

Damn, sorry to hear that.

Also once I completed the last quest, there were two Razhamads. One upstairs and one downstairs, so like I thought it seems to be a failure to reset the instance somehow.

Sounds like people need to do tales of tribute before the main quest stages then, until they patch it.

Others have said you can do it on other characters for the unlocks, and maybe on your main when they patch it.

That's a lot of card games though!

Yep -- I hit this bug last week. And unfortunately, I'd already finished "Escape from Amenos." so that workaround isn't available.

No help from today's patch unfortunately. This morning I dropped and restarted the quest, and won the three matches again, but I still can't advance past the "speak to Master Razhamad" step. Bug submitted.

I've also encountered this bug and have been trying to find a workaround for a few days now. No luck so far. So frustrating.
Haven't had a ton of luck with support, but still trying everything they suggest hoping something will do the trick.

Already submitted a bug report, though, so fingers crossed this gets fixed for everyone!
Re-did everything on another character and it worked just fine, but hoping to do it on my main.

So, immediately on seeing this comment a few days ago, I logged back in, ran some dailies, and then tried to turn in Challenges of the Past, with no luck. Still wasn't advancing for me.

I continued checking at least once a day while playing, and suddenly this morning, I was able to turn it in. No idea why. My Tribute rank and season tier have not changed recently. I did not need to abandon/restart the quest. It just worked this morning for some reason. Hopefully others will be as lucky.
