It would be very helpful if there was a clock somewhere on the ToT game screen that shows how long we have been playing each game. Some of these feel like they are taking forever. It would be nice to know just how long it's really taking.
It's standard in card games to not have a timer until your turn is almost over. It makes it a lot harder for me to concentrate to constantly see time ticking down.
That said, they should start the "turn ending" hourglass animation sooner and make it longer, because it's currently too short to finish up.
I see, I got used to play at the same pace as the NPC - not with the current proficient NPCs, I am playing against, because I still have to learn the card decks they are using, but with novices, I ended up playing like them, pace-wise - and with the use of agent to prestige conversion (which I am using heavily), my matches against novices are down to below 10 minutes. So it is a matter of practice really, these matches can be short, if you use all what is available to you. Well or your opponent does, like those proficient NPCs are showing me - honeymoon is really over when playing with them - it's a challenge for me still.
But what I would find really useful would be a turn timer - that I can see if my streak of cards can be played within the given time frame of a real match - if I play celarius/duke towards the end, I play with hands of 8+ cards - and it takes a while to figure out, how to use them most efficiently and in which order. I think, I stay within the 90 second time frame, but not sure.
