High Isle: Tournament of The Heart quest: unintentional barrier passthrough

So when I was doing the quest Tournament of The Heart, I walked over to the left collumn and tried to activate it but my crosshair kept focusing on "touch the barrier" so I ended up spamming and moving away from it. During this fumbling my character was flung behind the barrier.

I found it is easily replicated consistantly:

If you activate the barrier, as your character is playing out the touch animation, you can turn around and face the other way. The barrier will then fling you backwards, and you'll end up on the oher side.
*They didn't record in great quality, I used the record that feature on the Xbox Game Bar and I hadn't messed with the settings for quality so it's all at default in these clips.
