I want to a class that goes back to basics, the "Average Adventurer" a non-class, class that isn't specialized like the original four or a jack of all trades like the Warden and Necromancer, instead you're a simple sampler of abilities. A class that is the common core of The Elder Scrolls series, you are nothing special just an average person who knows the basics and out to explore the world. The skill lines are the core fundamentals of Warrior, Thief, and Mage.

The Warrior skill line focuses on weapon mechanics, your 5 abilities are related to the basic weapon stays of one-hand and shield, dual-wield, two-handed, and bow. The abilities themselves are useable with any weapon type, they are just themed after each weapon. The fifth ability would the staple Major Resolve.

The Thief skill line focuses on athleticism instead of being sneaky as Nightblades have that market cornered. You would focus on skills that acrobatic like being able to vault over your opponents.

The Mage skill line focuses the different schools of magic such as restoration, destruction, mysticism, alteration, and conjuration.

Since it takes ages to get everything done with one character, i would appreciate a new skill line with cool skills.

As for ideas, i have two:

1-) "Dragon Shouts/Thu'um". If Ulfric Stormcloak and those Thu'um experts, the Greybeards, at High Hrothgar, none of them being Dragonborn, are able to use even one; so should the Vestige.

2-) Multi-Classing. If i was able to learn even one skill from another class, such as the invisibility spell for my vamp necro, i would be satisfied.

Mirage - Skills based on tricking the enemy , illusions.
ZOS made a very tricky move when they designed their classes: they made it so in those classes they have put much more archetypes half-baked. I'll explain.
I voted for Mirage option, as a mind controller, illusionist and probably a telepath of some sort. But the thing is, Nightblade already has skills that I would imagine for the potential Mirage class. The Shadow skill tree with illusionary copies of you, invisibility, shadows slowing down enemies, etc.
Also, many people pointed out that Sorcerer is really more classic Necromancer class than the actual Necromancer, due to permanent pets, dark magic usage, crowd-control and such.
Then was the Warden. A druid/shaman based on his 2/3 skilllines. But he's also a frost mage for some reason.

A warrior without magic could be really interesting too. But the moment I read that line in the poll, for some reason I immediately have though about current stamina morphs of class skills. For me it's a nonsense that, for example, the Warden summons animal spirits and healing mushrooms with his stamina power. That's plain BS, if you ask me. And hear is what I thought: what if players will start to whine that they want magicka morphs for the Warrior just like they asked stamina morphs for class skills (while the class skills are clearly magic spells)?
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

I'm fine with the present classes. Besides, having more classes means having more characters, and with the way account-wide achievements have been implemented there's simply no point in having multiple characters if you're interested in actually playing them through the skill lines and game content rather than just creating an endgame character who is credited with having done everything.

Monk - skills based on unharmed physical combat.
I hope the next class is an "unarmed" class, so I chose Monk, but...

Monk could be the DPS skill line.
Bard the group support/healing skill line.
"Pilgrim" could be the tanking skill line.

I'd like to se a class that uses mainly stamina, with some magika morphs. An inversion of the setup the other classes use. Could include the thundermaul skill some enemies have.

I don't want a new class until Templar, Sorc, NB, and Warden get their much needed overhauls. Actually I don't really want a new class at all, I want more world/guild skills lines. And I don't want a new world line until Destruction Staff is balanced properly so that other staff types are actually viable rather than being required to run inferno because of its Single Target bonus.

Mirage - Skills based on tricking the enemy , illusions.
In both GW and GW2, my main toons are mesmers, relying on illusion and confusion... It's my preferred class and I would love to have that in ESO.

On a side note: the profession ritualist from original GW was absolutely fabulous. I miss it very much in GW2 (revenant isn't the same at all), and I haven't seen anything equivalent in other MMOs.
I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA

I would love a class that is SOOOOO well balanced, people stop constantly going 'oh but we need new new new NEW NEW new NEW NEW OMG NEW.

If you're asking for a new class, maybe you need a new game? A new class wont paint the game in a new light so you can play it for thousands of hours more. You'll play it for 2 weeks, realise you've already played that and be done.

Bard has always been my favourite class followed closely by necromancer and then some sort of martial priest. I've also always loved psionic classes. Shooting imaginary daggers and causing imaginary afflictions to strike the target, and yes Mesmer is my fave GW2 class, I mained it through every GW1 game too.

    Class ideas:

    Barbarian

    Knight

    Scout

    Arcane Archer

    Spellsword

    Witchhunter

    Siegemaster (ESO style of engineer)

    Weaponskill Lines:

    1h Spears

    2h Spears

    1h Crossbows

    2h Crossbows

    Unarmed

    Throwing Weapons

    Small shield

    Tower Shield

Daedric (you can be werewolf and vampire, why not being a true demon too?)

Aedric (same as daedric, just counterpart for the light side)

And make Witchhunters grant bonus damage and mitigation against anything anything daedric/aedric. Barbarian granting bonus damage on elves (because why not). And Siegemaster with special PvP passives for bonus damage and mitigation with and against everything siege related.

The issue with adding more classes is Balance, not to mention obvious power creep.

Warden came out and it was a bit half baked (still is in some places). Necromancer came out and it was just a better Warden.

I think Zos should really fine tune and expand the current classes. There's too many pain points across each class to move onto another imo.

Monk - skills based on unharmed physical combat.
A monk class is about the only class I would want, with maybe three different martial arts as skill trees. But I'd prefer new weapon skill lines.

I'd maybe rework the "bow" skill into the "marksman" skill as well and have 4 weapon types; bows-crossbows-throwing weapons-slingshots that give different bonuses and ability affects.

I'd add a pure magic staff to the destruction staff skill line.

I'd add a hand-to-hand skill with 3 weapon types; light gloves (magicka based), medium gloves (stamina based) and heavy gloves (tanking based)

I'd add the 1-hand + rune skill with following rune types; fire-frost-shock-poison-disease-healing-ward

And of course, spears too, but at this point I think us not getting them is just a running joke that makes the devs happy.

I don't think we need a new class, at least not right now. Maybe not until all existing classes are in a good place. Though it's difficult to please everyone, someone will always think that one or several classes need to be buffed or nerfed.

However, if we got new classes I wouldn't mind seeing some druidic shapeshifting class.

Yes, absolutely I prefer skill lines we can unlock and use on any class.

I like to have just one main character, and a bunch of alts for just doing writs. With the current armory system it does make it easier to have the one character take on several roles but each of those roles do seem to be really cookie cutter if you want to get anywhere with them.

I would love a system where we could make our characters truly unique and really unpredictable.
