When I'm traveling overland, I prefer to smell the sunflowers and admire the scenery rather than be focused on survival. If I want harder fights, I know where to find them.
That said, I've no objection at all to a difficulty slider. The game already adjusts the potency of player characters who are below L50. I see no reason why players could not select to buff or nerf their own characters similarly to achieve their desired level of challenge.

I thought they might have raised difficulty a bit with the release of High Isle.. but its so boring because its too easy, I literally fall asleep. NPC's talking about big bad dangerous bands kidnapping people, or demons that burned villages and such. Until I show up there and oneshot everything. Wtf? Even Super Mario is harder than this.
Was this really the intention? I would be interested in the High Isle story since I like medieval stuff. But man... everything is a oneshot! Its so silly. I just can't get myself to playing any of this content if its so mindnumbingly easy that my eyelashes fall down every time.
Any plans for a raise in overland difficulty?

"In Cyrodiil" that was your first mistake thinking much improvements ever go to the PVP zones. PVP zones aren't profitable compared to PVE zones in this game. Whilst PVP has gotten new (and one very OP armor set, cough, Dark Convergence, cough) they will not upgrade dungeons or PVE quests in towns across Cyrodiil to greater levels cuz that doesn't make sense for PVP (considering you often need vastly different sets/champion points/traits between pve and pvp). If you want more hard Overland content...take on a WB by yourself in new zones, that may do something for you, maybe. If not then welp, you are just to op and the game does actually need to cater to the normal dps playing base for PVE. Overland isn't meant to be a VETERAN TRIAL. If you want challenge than go to Maelstrom Vet, Vateshran Hallows Vet, Dragonstar Arena Vet, Blackrose Prison Vet, or and Vet trial, especially DLC Vet Trials, they are more challenging. Vet DLC dungeons also offer challenge to most. There is content for op players, it just won't be overland. Overland IS for casual players mostly.

And Super Maria was catered to kids, but is still harder then ESO overland. With ESO being a game rated M.
