Wish we could relabel the quickslot wheels

The existing labels, "Tools", "Allies", "Emotes" etc. sound nicely organised, but make no sense in practice. I'm going to set and forget the wheel as I move between different types of content. Thus, I want to label them with "PvP", "PvE", "House Tour", "Cyrodiil", "Trial", "Role Play" and the like.

The current names accurately describe the categories of things each wheel is restricted to. I’m not sure I’d see a point to being able to rename them as long as that’s the case. I’d love to use one of the new ones as a PvP wheel so I could slot potions, food, camps, all the different types of repair, and a greater variety of offensive and defensive siege, but those all still have to go into the generic Quickslot wheel as far as I’ve found. Same with any PvE combat-related things. It isn’t just four extra quickslots for us to use as we’d like, sadly.

Having four radical menus I can customize and add whatever I want ike Monster Hunter World would be amazing.

I'm not sure at this point how often I'm going to use the new ones considering the limitations. For myself I'm so used to using just one (with an add on) that I don't feel the need for more.

However for people that role play, or just like emotes ,etc. I can see the extra space would be a godsend.

I was looking forward to checking out the new quickslot wheels but tbh I also felt a bit torn when they went live. The new quickslots are a step forward for sure, and props to the devs for improving our QoL with them, but I wish these wheels weren't as restricted to their respective categories as they are.

For example, I don't really need an entire quickslot wheel just for Tools or one just for Emotes etc. I'd prefer simply having more quickslot wheels which I could then tweak depending on the content I'm playing through - like questing with cheap potions/emotes/mementos, PvE with extra potions, PvP with potions & siege, and so on. In this case, when I need an entire wheel for emotes & RP, I'll set it up but it'll remain flexible for other purposes if later needed too.

i like having the allies on their own wheel for quicker access

one thing i noticed is that when your selecting an item from the wheel, it doesnt "set" it as an active quick use, but instead automatically uses it unless you select an "empty" option from a wheel, so it makes "cancelling" using the wheel kind of difficult without accidentally using something

When I wrote the original post, I hadn't really looked into the new wheels and assumed they were simply additional space to place any and all items onto, like the original quickslot wheel. Now I discover that is not the case and the new wheels are, in fact, limited to the categories that they say. Furthermore you snap back to the quickslot wheel after using an item from one of the others.

Well, I don't know about you, but to me this is so limited and cumbersome as to be completely useless. What I would find useful is multiple renamable quicklsot wheels that you would stay on after a change and that you could place any mixed items onto, like the original quickslot wheel.
