Beginner rewards need to be higher to attract more people to play ToT

Seriously, ZOS, what did you think when you set the gold reward for a novice match to 40 gold plus a lot of trash, which no one will be using. This will not make a lot of people want to go over the frustration to learn this game at start. It takes them like 20-30 minutes at first - but even if they do like 3 matches per hour, 120 gold reward - in the same time they could as well go and do antiquities and dig up stuff worth around 6500 gold - 54 times more. These rewards need to be adjusted - at least in the beginner ranks.

I agree. It's a frustrating game to learn and having better rewards at the beginning would help motivate players to not give up.

Agreed :) Motivation would indeed be boosted if we had more worthwhile rewards, given the time investment per game, especially in the early stages when games vs NPCs may take longer to complete.

The win 3 daily vs NPCs in particular is disappointing : opting to play all 3 for " better rewards " just gives 3 more of the same level loot or so it seems. Even the furnishing patterns etc are not new but from old zones and have little value in the market place.

I guess if the player was brand new to ESO, single digit level first character the rewards are fine....but 99+% are far beyond that and if we are to grind up our rankings in the club we would appreciate more significant rewards for our time. Otherwise I expect many will drop out before they get hooked.

I'm still at the first rank and I've gotten 10 mundane runes, 5 transmute, and a deadlands treasure map so... despite there being some trash rewards, there's some insanely good ones as well. Probably just haven't gotten them yet or didn't notice.

ok, I was just unlucky as it seems - I lately got 1 tempering alloy and 5 transmute crystals and 10 mundane runes as well - still, that gold price of 40 gold for a beginner is just meh - especially if the RNG is so hit and miss otherwise.

Had some defeat rewards of more worth than the victory ones. Item value vs actual in-game value differs so much it is hard to balance these things ( such as a random treasure map, the zone can make a huge difference on value ).

Despite the occasional "nice" loot, seems that there could be something concrete to motivate more involvement in the NPC daily - thinking along the lines of a key from doing pledges. If the time commitment per game was half ( or less ) what it is then the current rewards may be alright , but to play and win 3 times vs an NPC can take a substantial amount of limited playtime for many people. Winning 3 times and the bonus is 3 more of the same green reward boxes can be deflating if one doesn't have rng in their favour.

We all remember that one great loot from a treasure chest, the 60-80-100+ ? we opened before that kinda blend together :)

ToT was a main selling feature for this chapter, the "NEW" thing for the game, I would hope for some original, worthwhile rewards.

It would also be good if they removed the white food from the loot table. Even for new players, that's pretty useless given how many better meals we get in the daily rewards.

Even the green Tribute coffers have great rewards. I've gotten like 10k+ worth of materials fairly regulary.

I was seriously confused when I turned in my daily. You spend 3 more times to complete it and all you have to show is 3 times the same crap.

as in "not that often" - to me that feels like a lottery - most is crap, sometimes it is something I can actual use and very rarely it can be something really valuable. I have won more than a hundred games now and got 1 tempered alloy - ok there are as well a bunch of transmute crystals, which might be quite worth something for a person beyond CP 160, but to me that is not worth much. Mundane runes, a couple, yes - but given that it took me days to play those 100+ games, it is not worth the time.

I play it just because I like Tales of Tribute, I think it is a freaking awesome card game, but if it would be about the rewards, I would have given up on it already. And that is the crux, many will compare with what they normally make and then they see this meager reward with an "insulting" 40 gold for a novice - why would they want to continue playing ToT? Would it have been so hard to give them 400 gold instead of 40? - that would at least be something, the other feels like being trolled.

It's not like the later ranks give any better rewards, tho. At least as far as I can tell.
