CP changes are unfriendly to newer players

Does anyone else feel that having some of the warfare slots require 25 points to unlock is a bit unfriendly to newer player progression? It’s nice if you have the points, but I have 23 saved and can’t even get my first 3% in one of them.

Maybe that was the intent, feels like it will make character progression less smooth. Not sure though!

Thoughts?

Yes it is unfriendly for newer players. On the other hand CP system is intended for players who have been playing for a while.

They reduced the number of stages with High Isle update. In my opinion it's not nice. Before this update you could have had 4% buff with the 23 points you have. With this update you have none.

Exactly, keep the nerfs, but at least chop up the CP requirement.

Isn't it also a potential issue that you can't advance past them now without a 25 point investment for a minimal gain? I don't remember the tree layout so maybe it's not the roadblock I'm thinking.

Every constellation has three unbound stars that convert CP to power at 1:1 ratio, so you can always make constant progress.
Sure, you can't get specific stars at the very start, but you can still make progress. And once you have sufficient CP, you can withdraw your points from the free stars and buy more expensive nodes.

And tbh the first 300+ CPs will go by in a blur, XP gain at the start is super fast.

The new CP system was a major nerf to high level players because of power creep, don't get me started on this subject because I'm still not over it, I have over 7000 hours into the game, so imagine how I feel about the CP system....grrrrrrrrr
Everyone is going in one direction, I'm going the other direction

Okay I'm going to admit something here...

I don't use my CP points. I really don't see the need., a lot of times when it's just my wife and I with our companions we crush just about anything we come near, we do Normal and Vet Dungeons, with just us and our companions and trials with some of our online friends.

The game can be as simplistic or difficult as you want and I like to keep things simple, they throw enough gear and gold at my playstyle that I just don't need to bother.
