Tales of Tribute - Player Chapter's?

Just wasting time until the servers go back up again, but I think I have a cool idea....lol

When beginning the ToT questline, we are automatically placed in the Gonfalon Bay Chapter. During this quest, we play other chapters consisting of NPC's
We then seem to be done playing against "Chapters".

I think it would be kinda cool if players could create their own chapters and play against each other in tournaments for greater rewards, trophies, etc and also have a Chapter leader board.
Of course the risk is that there would be a hundred random inactive chapters, but I'm sure there could be a way to weed those out.
No idea if this is too much of a stretch, or even possible. Just throwing it out there.

Unfortunately I doubt ZOS will provide the infrastructure for such a task, but I'd love to see it. Still hoping for custom pvp matches using the housing system, the customization that could be had with such a system would be insane.

Custom tourney's for 4v4v4 BGs, Dueling tournaments, coordinated guild fights in Cyro are actively scheduled by communities right now using what they can.

I can forsee ToT tourney's where players broadcast their screen to Discord, Twitch or Youtube, allowing for particpants to watch. A ladder with rewards. Pretty easy to setup.

It's a shame ZOS didn't add any support for this, 1 of the biggest missed opportunities in my opinion was the fact that your characters are instanced out of the world when they start a match. It's pretty underwhelming for an MMO that is suppose to be about social interactions.

Look at dueling, a part of the reason it's still somewhat popular in active area's is because it's also a spectacle. Bystanders can watch the fight play out in real time, in the game world, no 3rd party software required.

Imagine if ToT behaved this way. Instead of dissapearing from existance, your characters propped up a table and chairs in the world if there was none, if you were in a Tavern there could be dedicated tables to sit at until another player joins you to initate a match. Build that into casual matches on the activity finder, teleport the players into a Tavern and seat them, this way the Taverns automatically fill with players, not just the players that choose to walk into the Tavern physically.

As a bystander you're not able to see the cards that they're playing, but if you walked up and interacted with the table, you could spectate the match. An eye icon in the top right of the screen could pop up indicating how many people are watching.

This is of course only applicable to casual matches, ranked matches through the activity finder would always instance the players to avoid possible cheating.

On the topic of cheating, there isn't much you can do by knowing the other players hand because you can technically do it already. On their turn, they're going to play them all anyway so whatever. On your turn, you can actually deduce what cards they have just by hovering over their side of the table. It tells you a combined "in hand and deck" list of cards. I've been in matches where doing that allowed me to realize their next hand was a total of 6 gold and the card I wanted in the Tavern was 8 gold, but there was also 2 low cost cards I wanted. Instead of going for the high cost card, I went for the 2 low cost ones I thought he'd be able to afford, on the next turn I bought the 8 cost card.

Thanks for the feedback, @Jaclynn. We can pass this feedback along to the dev team. Making no promises on features being added, but the team loves seeing ideas like this from players.

I think it's a really great idea, maybe guilds can become their own chapter for now and hold tournaments against other guilds with a 1v1 then the winner plays another guild who won a 1x1 etc with several guilds and a big prize for the winning guild.
