I've been playing ESO on a Mac through Steam for years. I have a new M1 machine and a rather fast internet connection (150-200 Mbps), so I'd like to try Stadia and evaluate the performance. Is there any way to try it without having to buy ESO *again*? I don't see a way to do that.
Well, that pretty well stinks. Thanks. Guess that option is out. Given that this is one of their suggestions for Mac users moving forward, it doesn't seem they are serious about it.
If memory serves, when I used stadia back in december because my main machine was down, they both provide a discount on your first game and the eso base game was cheap enough that it didn't actually cost me anything. All you need is the base game to log in with, since everything else is based on account.
Whenever ESO goes on sale. You can buy it for free using the coupon. Assuming ESO goes on summer sale than sometime around June 23 you can get for free
Remember ESO stadia is linked so everything on account can stay the same

My daughter plays through Stadia on our old 2011 Imac and It works fine - a bit of a stagger here and there but it fullfills her needs.
