What race do you want for a Warden Companion?

We have an Imperial Dragon Knight, Dunmer Nightblade, Khajiit Sorcerer, and Breton Templar so these races are um... out of the race.

Bosmer or Argonian makes the most sense to me. Bosmer being obvious because if their whole connection to nature and the green pact. Argonians also have a connection to nature and the hist.

But please, a normal dude or dudette, not this parody most of Nords in ESO turn out to be. I don't know how they are in Greymoor, since I haven't played it yet, but the ones you meet in other regions are always dumb as doornails (EDIT: with the obvious exception of Jorunn the Skald-King). So give me someone more akin to Astrid from TESV than Rigurt the Brash from ESO.

A Bosmer or Breton makes the most sense due to general Warden Lore. But having a Bosmer Spinner as a Warden would be great.

There are some who consider Wardens to be "Militant Spinners" according to the "Who are the Wardens" Lore book.

i think it is worth pointing out that skyrim (i am making a bit of an assumption here that your main experience of single player TES would be that game so ignore me if that's a false assumption) is a bit of an outlier in how seriously it takes itself and especially nords. at least in my experience, nords as they're presented in tes III morrowind and tes IV oblivion are all either pretty jovial and silly or otherwise used for comic relief

it's one thing i actually really appreciate in eso's writing. skyrim seemed so desperate to shy away from the goofy, childish side of the elder scrolls world and i really feel like the writers at zos are more willing to embrace it

also to actually respond to the actual OP of this thread: here's hoping we get an argonian bro like derkeethus

I would love having an Argonian Warden companion, i think it fits the race very well.

For me, Bosmer have more of a Nightblade nature (current lack of sneaking notwithstanding).

Interestingly the High Rock version of Spinners have an Official Title: Vicars of Jephre.

I initially put Wyrd Sisters in with the Followers of Y'ffre but after further research, there are specifically Breton Druids tied to Y'ffre or (Jephre to bretons). Wyrd Sisters are actually worshipers of Hircine.

Hircine generally hates Y'ffre as Nirni chose Y'ffre over Hircine, whom he loved. (According to Khajiiti Lore)

It would be interesting if the Druids and Wyrd Sisters were at odds.

I don't think there's anything wrong with jovial and fun, just that they don't have to be all morons. There were few nords in base TESIII but the Bloodmoon ones were really well fleshed out and interesting. And while they still had their meadhall and hunting trophies they weren't just idiots.

Bosmer make sense, and one of my Wardens is Bosmer, but I went with Nord for the ice magic. I also have a Nord Warden. It was a hard choice honestly, but I fear a Bosmer companion will be sent overboard into comic relief because we haven't had serious Bosmer characters since base game. At least Greymoor showed that they can make a balance of personalities for Nords.
