Doesn't that make some dialogues a bit awkward, when NPCs address you by the full multi-part name?
Can't vote. This poll needs an "Other" option.
I use names related to my centers of interest in real life. That can go from using the name of a family member, or a combo of words related to a rl event, or a song, or based on something related to my work, a movie I saw, and so on... It can really be anything.

I have a single character who doesn't have their actual name, if only because they're one of the House of Reveries, and trying to think of a single word name that hasn't already been taken is really hard lmao. They have a placeholder name for now, and probably forever.
Your character's name can have more than one part - like "xxxx of Tel Mora" for example. This way you can have pretty much any first name you like, just add a location to it and you will most likely be fine.

I've named a couple of mine after characters from Jack Vance's "Dying Earth" stories. One of them is called "Liane the Wayfarer". NPC in Alik'r call him by name all the time. I suppose the same is true for the character "Five Claw".
I gave up on lore friendly names on my last 2, was spending too much time trying to get a name, only for it to be in use, or worse the game times out, and have to start the creation process all over,.
Seemed all the names I liked from UESP lore friendly pages were taken, my last alt is named after a character in a bugs bunny cartoon...
