- i think it's really great that companions can show up or have comments on certain quests (at least i think they can? needs verification, i know Mirri can show up at the end of the blackwood storyline) but i would love it if this was greatly expanded upon. as is most of their dialogue is pretty generic, and it'd be great if they could talk about specific quests more often, specific zones, or even dungeons if you brought them along for them
- i think it'd be great if companions could recognize more things specific to your character. as is i know Mirri has one or two unique lines of dialogue for an argonian, but it'd be awesome if they could also acknowledge you being a vampire/werewolf, have them talk about recent accomplishments you've both made or have them comment on specific decisions you've made on quests. in general, it'd be great if the dialogue trees available when speaking to companions would be greatly expanded upon beyond "give me a vague hint about how to gain rapport with you" and the "we're friends right?" options we currently have
- give them some more skills/ultimates to play around with
- maybe tweak the AI a bit or implement some more failsafes so they don't die to boss mechanics so often
- more companion side quests!!!
- companion romance/marriage system. come on guys, skyrim has a half-baked marriage mechanic for the player so its only fair eso gets it too
- maybe make purple companion gear a little bit less ridiculously rare
- to coincide with purple companion gear being more feasible to obtain, add legendary companion gear
- specific item set bonuses for companions like the player can have?
- i was serious about that romance/marriage system btw
- actually, i'm gonna talk about gear again. craftable companion gear?
- for real though, it's weird there's no companion romance system. haven't maxed out bastian's rapport yet but mirri is making a borderline love confession once she's maxed out
- the ability to turn your companion into a vampire/werewolf and give them the relevant skills/ultimates/passives? would definitely require maxed out rapport
- if it wasn't obvious, npc companions are the closest thing to a friend i can play eso with
- what about if you've got multiple companions, they can somehow interact with eachother? being able to summon multiple companions at the same time might be unreasonable(?) so i'm not sure how to implement this
- actually, being able to have multiple companions active at the same time sounds cool as heck
let me know if you've got any ideas too!!!
addendum: here's a bonus pic of my squad so you can check out my Mirri's fashion!!
